How long does Rewind record audio for?
Rewind maintains a private rolling buffer of the last 1, 3, 5, 10, or 15 minutes of audio. Anything older is overwritten and permanently gone unless you explicitly save it.
Does Rewind save audio automatically?
No, Rewind only saves audio when you actively choose to save the last few minutes after a moment has occurred. It does not automatically save recordings.
Is my audio data private with Rewind?
Yes, Rewind is designed for privacy. All audio files and transcripts are stored locally on your iPhone, with no cloud storage or upload path. It works offline after the initial transcription model download.
Can I search my saved audio clips?
Yes, saved clips are transcribed locally using Whisper, and you can search your Library by transcript text, title, date, or duration. Speaker labels can also be optionally generated.
How can I save audio with Rewind?
You can save audio from anywhere using the Home screen button, the iPhone Action Button, Siri commands like 'Hey Siri, save Rewind,' Spotlight search, or through custom Shortcuts.
