About
Is your EXS24 library locked inside Logic?
Years of collected instruments — factory banks, purchased libraries, your own patches — and all of it only opens on a Mac with Logic installed. On your iPad, on stage, at a friend's studio: unreachable.
REXS sets that library free.
HOW IT WORKS
• CONVERT IN ONE DRAG
Drag an .exs file (or a whole folder) into the app. REXS reads the instrument, finds its audio files and writes a faithful SoundFont (.sf2) — zones, key ranges, velocity splits, loops, envelopes, tuning. Your original file is never touched.
• IT FINDS THE SAMPLES BY ITSELF
EXS24 instruments reference external audio that drifts around over the years. REXS searches the instrument's folder, its neighbors and the whole tree — and if something is still missing, it asks you to point at the folder and resolves the rest. WAV, AIFF and CAF (including ALAC).
• BUILD THEMED BANKS
Combine instruments from any number of sources into a single .sf2: check, drag to reorder, rename, generate. "My favorite pads" in one file, ready for any sampler.
• EDIT THE SOUND AND HEAR IT INSTANTLY
Adjust each preset's volume, pan, tuning, attack, release and filter with the built-in player: play the on-screen keyboard or connect your MIDI controller. Stack presets as layers and balance the mix.
• AUv3 PLUG-IN IN YOUR DAW
Converted instruments show up directly in AUM, GarageBand, Logic, Cubasis and any AUv3 host — nothing to export.
WHY REXS IS DIFFERENT
• 100% ON YOUR DEVICE
No cloud upload. No account. No cookies. No trackers. Your libraries (many of which you PAID for) never leave your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
• YOUR ORIGINALS ARE SACRED
REXS never modifies or deletes your files. Conversion creates new files; your .exs and audio stay exactly where they were.
• ONE-TIME PURCHASE, NO SURPRISES
No subscription, no in-app purchase, no "pro" tier. What you buy is the entire app.
• UNIVERSAL
A single app for iPhone, iPad AND Mac. Buy on any device, install on the others for free.
WHO IT'S FOR
• Live keyboard players using an iPad on stage
• Producers who switched machines and "lost" their library
• Anyone who moved away from Logic and wants their sounds back
• Sound designers recombining banks
• Beatmakers digging through vintage instruments
ABOUT THE FORMATS
EXS24 is the format of Logic's sampler (now "Sampler"), used by thousands of commercial and free libraries since 1999. SoundFont 2 (.sf2) is an open standard from 1995, alive in hardware samplers, plug-ins and mobile apps. REXS reads the former and writes the latter respecting 100% of the spec.
GET STARTED
Drag an .exs in (or tap "Add EXS24 files" and point at a folder). Check the presets, name it, generate. That's it.
Your instruments, anywhere.
