Good app BUT!
I’ve been using the app for a few years now and it is great for logging and keeping track of individual bikes BUT when completing the challenges and submitting them the suppose of rewards never come through as advertised.
Integration lacks
I would like to see some integration with apple health/fitness. Or be able to manually enter a ride based off of that information. Sometimes we forget to start both trackers, and need a way to earn credit for them.
I like the ride tracking ability. I don’t use routes or anything other than tracking and sharing rides. I like that you can add pictures, riders and text to give some context to your ride.

If half of a great app useful?
This app has so e of the best social programing. Unfortunately its lack of integration with apple watch, apple health makes it so that only the most attentive users can remember to start their daily rides in the app. After forgetting to hit record on my ride for the third tine in a week, i decided to wait until the app has better mapping and i integration with apple health.
We need a better app for daily riders. Onespot for social, strava for mapping, apple health for ride detection and whatever your state uses for their bike miles incentive program. In the end i keep rolling back to apple health with my apple watch.

Talk with other apps
I would enjoy this a lot more if I could upload from Garmin or Strava or…
Ride Spot keeps me going
Best part of the Ride Spot App? The fun monthly challenges. It’s just another reason to get on your bike and keep riding all year long. This app has really motivated me to keep riding even in cold weather. I also enjoy the data available to me: how far I’ve gone this week/month/year. The challenges usually involve earning a fun patch or other random swag, and who doesn’t love free stuff?

So frustrating
I had to delete my best ride because I didn’t add cadence before I rode. I had to ask what that even was. I’m an amateur rider and thought this app would be fun to track my rides.
Tried to contact support but just got endless loop of click here. Go back to here.
Back to MapMyRide I guess.

Can’t log on with correct password
Set up account from a desktop browser, it says my email/password are wrong in the app. I reset my password to the same thing, still says I’m wrong. Basically I cannot sync between mobile and web…so as of now this is not at all functional for me and I’m really bummed that it’s so. Will fix rating if this issue gets ironed out!

Start point
The only thing I don’t like about this app, it doesn’t show you how to get to the start point. You almost have to line it up with another map and hope you get to the right spot. i have tired it before and landed on private property. This is why I deleted the app. Please have someone of showing how to get to the start point.

Nothing listed about in app purchase but my credit card got hit for $60
Nothing about in app purchase in the App Store listing. Nothing about a subscription for Ride Spot under my AppleID. Yet my credit card got hit for $60 and the charge is to “PfB Ride Spot”
This is about as crappy a user experience as they come…

Strava Integration
When do you plan to add Strava integration? I would like to support your challenges, Route mapping, etc., but prefer to use one main app that integrates with others. Strava is the most used biking app, and the one a use for fitness, including biking, walking, kayaking, HIIT, etc. Please include Strava integration for Strava users, so that we can use one GPS app to sync it with your Challenges, Routes, Maps, etc. Thanks

Not very good
The app can’t seem to do the one thing a gps tracking app should do; that being to record the activity. Ride Spot has failed multiple times to record a ride. Each time the app fails to upload the data because of some error message and then the ride is deleted. What fun! Oh well. Hopefully they will figure it out someday.

Cue sheets and turn-by-turn directions aren’t helpful
I’ve used the app to record rides and haven’t run into any problems. Now I’m using it in connection with a series of challenge rides. Very hard to navigate the site. Am told there’s a way to download cue sheets but I haven’t figured it. The cue sheet I was sent for a specific ride is vague and turn-by -turn audio directions aren’t very helpful.

Maybe I don’t get it…
I don’t understand this app… not at all intuitive to search (I poked around for an hour before finding the drop down button), you can’t search by looking at a map, you just get lists of trails by name which doesn’t help me figure out if I can get to my dentist by bicycle etc. Google Maps is easier to decipher cycling routes, and that’s sad. The social features aren’t something that other apps don’t have. Other apps have challenges, too. And it seems you can’t automatically sync Ride Spot with Wahoo or Strava? I’m definitely not going to try to track my rides in two places, and I’m not going to manually enter rides. Overall this is a total miss for me.

Not perfect, but one of the best
This app does what it’s intended to. It tracks the ride, reports time and average speed, keeps a record, posts rides and looks up rides. It even displays real time speed, which prompted me to ditch the separate cycling computer. Unless it’s really important to compete for 1,000th place on some local climb, this app surpasses the most popular version (which charges you for some of these features). Best of all, the price is right.

No Good
I saw this in the Fall 2020 Ed. Of American Bicyclist mag and decided to try it. On line let me sign up, the app won’t let me log in. Wrong password error. Go online and reset the password, same issue. Help feature just says use online instead of the app — that’s not helpful on the road. Apparently there’s a long history of similar — but not the same — complaints. I’m deleting it.

Better all the time
I’ve been using Ride Spot almost a year? My favorite thing is to upload photos in my ride story and share with friends. Glad it’s not about the competitive piece cos that’s not me me at all.
Once I figured out the search screen on the app and how to build routes using my laptop got waaaay easier and more fun.

Still some bugs
App froze part way through a route and then lost all data on the part completed. The ride shows only the last 13 miles out of the 48 that my Garmin shows. The app also seems to use a lot of battery power. The phone was fully charged at the start and is close to 25% or less remaining even though the screen goes into power saving mode. Not happy losing my data as it was part of the Pearl Izumi challenge close to where I live. Now since the app lost my data, I don’t show the challenge completed.

Needs improvements
I don’t understand why i can’t have the option to keep my screen on while riding. That’s so strange!! All the other bike apps have that as an option.
It would also be nice to set my own settings like MapMyRide, strava and others. That’s weird too.
I really want to like this app. I like the idea of sharing routes and etc

Add live turn prompts —> better rating
I have been using BikeGPX for years to navigate my way through neighborhoods. It’s not as clean a user interface as Ride Spot, but I get alerts when it’s time to turn or I get off my route. Ride Spot simply traces over your saved route with no feedback, so you need to keep the display on the whole time.
I like how the display in Ride Spot will automatically dim to just your arrow icon and save your battery, but that’s of no use if you are not alerted when it’s time to turn or you stray from your route. BikeGPX is not as sexy as Ride Spot, but you’ll stay on your route easier.

Needs some functionality
It would be nice to pan around the map to see preferred routes or potentially to have preferred routing from a start/finish point.
Secondarily id like to see exportable gpx files so I can immediately send the route to my wahoo head unit.
