We have never had an experience with our ring going offline. It’s always been very dependable.
Unreliable, not worth the money or effort
No matter how many times I’ve adjusted the scope, sensitivity, etc., this system either regularly misses events or triggers the motion sensor due to shadows — it's extremely rare for it to capture and alert me in a timely manner. Often, the app won’t let me change modes, and sometimes a message pops up saying the mode change failed. This has happened several times: the countdown times out and the alarm goes off while the app remains unresponsive, no matter how many times I exit and reopen it. Trying to view any of my cameras’ live feeds is extremely frustrating; if I try to watch a live feed for more than 30-60 seconds, I get a message saying there’s an issue with the feed, and that’s only if the app nanages to open the feed at all. Usually, the feed won’t open until I try multiple times over many minutes, by which point the event I wanted to see has already ended. This system is a waste of money and completely unreliable as a home security system. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know who needs a dependable system to keep their home safe.

The iPhone 13 to 16. Tried opening the Ring app and it constantly crashes upon clicking on the app. Not sure if the iOS is compatible with Ring. This is a bummer, because if I forgot my keys, I would use the app to unlock my apartment door

Great!
Dropped Connection
Overall a good purchase but connections drop on multiple occasions. OK to troubleshoot when home but not much you can do from 2,000 miles away. Kinda defeats the purpose.

My mic won’t work on iOS its working on android I’ve called support multiple times times. I should have known it was because of an update.
They will charge money to save your videos but won’t let you download them
Based on my experience and what I learned from others not being able to download videos from a paid account on the iPhone app is a known issue and yet has still not be fixed/addressed. Really disappointed

Cameras don’t record as much as I would like, despite setting them on their highest setting to record.
Video quality is trash — you can’t read license plates of slowly moving vehicles from even a distance of 5 ft.
Some cameras update CONSTANTLY, preventing them from recording or viewing live.
Worst of all…no one from Ring has gotten back to me to resolve these issues.
You’re better off with any other brand security cameras. Just do your research as I should have when I first considered getting Ring.

The 3am no sun scare trap
Let me be clear, I’m not the first to experience this but I never believed it until it happened to me. Had a paid ring sub for years. Got a new card and my ring sub ended up getting cancelled and now I get two motion alerts at 3am every single night. Almost as if they’re trying to scare me back into a sub so I can see what set off the alert. SCAM BAIT CRAPWARE!

Inferior Battery and Solar Devices - Very Disappointed
My house is in direct sunlight for most of the day and I cannot maintain a charge on double batteries (charged to 100% before installation) for longer than an hour a day. Most times the cameras do not recognize the second battery and all terminals have been cleaned and batteries are new. The cameras are less than 7 months old and never been dropped. I am very disappointed in these systems: 2 Doorbell battery systems, outdoor cam pros and solar panels for their charging.

I have been paying for the recording subscription for three years and it only works sometimes
We pay for the subscription to have the recordings and it seems like more often than not our front door is not catching people coming to the door. Often packages or things are left at our door, but we have no recording of somebody coming and dropping anything off. We thought it was because we had an older camera so we bought a new one and we still have the same issue.

Stop harassing me about signing up for your AI garbage. Your service stinks. Why does my security camera activate for cats and skunks!? If that’s the best your AI can do then it’s worthless.
Ring front doorbell
I love the Ring doorbell but it does not always capture motion at our front door especially at night.

Let me start by saying this is a functional camera. They are OK. We have cameras on each corner of the house as well as a doorbell and they are all wired with a very stable Internet connection. The issue comes from the app and from Ring itself. I don’t know how many times this company wants to try to push its stupid AI descriptions on me, but I’m not interested. Every time I open the app, every time I log onto the website, every time I look at the camera it’s constantly barraging me by telling me that I don’t have AI descriptions. I don’t want the descriptions. When I used the trial they were rubbish, always telling me something was in the frame that wasn’t. I’m not paying you every month to tell me what is in a video and honestly, if you are considering this camera right now, I would look elsewhere.

Offline
Every time my internet connection goes off even for a couple of minutes, the RING app crashes and it doesn’t reset. Constantly having to update the WiFi password.
slow delay
I’m noticing there has been either a slower delay and no camera pick up at all, I’ve even tested it several times on different occasions by moving around and at times just standing there
