App and or device doesn’t work well

I am an experienced guitarist, having played for over 50 years. I was hoping that this would be a quick way to expand my repertoire. I tried several songs in the songs in the app and found it to be unusable. I tested the device on an electric guitar plugged into the device and on a Gretsch hollow body using the microphone. There was a delay between the device and the app, so that chords played registered as late even though the timing was correct. Also, the device or app failed to register about one in three notes completely. A third complication was that the sound automatically went to volume 0 in the middle of playing a song. The problems persisted despite following all recommendations for making sure only one Bluetooth device was connected, reinstalling the app, checking for updates, checking the input volume to make sure there was no clipping. I am returning the device, canceling my subscription, and uninstalling the app as it was unusable. Finally, the recordings work, but are not great quality. Better to get a good microphone or Tascam recorder. Hopefully, they can get these issues fixed with a new version or updates and significantly improve on the Coach app experience, as I think the concept is great. I continue to use the Roadie 3 tuner, which I like a lot.

Does not work

Don’t waste your money. I recorded music then attempted to transfer it from the Roadie Recorder to the app. Downloads fail for anything longer than 30 seconds. It is nothing more than an expensive fishing weight. I immediately returned it.

Terrible!

Based on the fact that this app literally can’t pick up anything you’re doing unless you strum it at hard as physically possible I genuinely believe all the 5 star reviews are lies. Try it fir yourself and you’ll see it’s useless. There are MUCH better apps. This one is trash.

This is amazing!

I got my first uke and it thought me everything I could play songs in school plays and people loved it! They sang along and it made me happy I’m so much more confident. I recommend this app

Great learning tool!

The device itself is a touch on the pricey side but I have found it a great way compliment my learning process. The app is still young but they are pretty open to feedback.

Awesome, but…

This app is amazing the way it works. The progression is so helpful. The graphics are great. Love it all. But… after paying for the month I was really disappointed to see how few songs there are. I doubt I’ll be keeping the subscription.

Hello, I have only been playing this app for 5 minutes. I have realized that the strumming has been rough I have no idea how to play and this app just makes it harder. Please fix.

don’t recommend at all

0/10, very bad. I had this before the new update, and they completely ruined it. It won’t let me play any songs because there is no songs on it!

Best ukulele app in the world

This app is very useful I got it last night and played it till I went to bed and it isn’t just to play music you can also tune your ukulele with it . I personally think it is the best ukulele app ever to be created.

It’s okay, but Definitely needs improvement 😐😑😐

OK so to start off, there are very few songs, and of which they are very childlike songs, and I kept getting a one star out of three stars and I thought that I was doing great. So overall, I kind of wish that they had more songs in those of which were more popular songs nowadays like riptide and death bed. But, I would suggest it if you have a little child who wants to learn the ukulele and can only play a few songs.

I tuned it, it said it was right. It said I was doing the first chord wrong so I tuned it again, IT DIDN'T TUNE IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. I’m trying a new app.

Wanted bug fix

So say I’m playing on my ukelele using the app but when I finish the song it kicks me out and doesn’t track my progress...

it’s okay

it’s a good ukulele app for beginners. i’ve been playing for about a year and thought it would be fun to play around with some easier things again.

my only complaint is that it close to never reads the F chord. i will play F perfect and clear but it says i’m doing it wrong. i’m not sure why this should be happpening.

Not picking up on chords

I tried to play the first song and it’s not picking up the chord I know I’m playing them right as I know basic chord but wanted to improve so downloaded the app it is very frustrating

Recommend!!

I really like the different stages and the songs that are offered. I wish there was a chance to just read the music so that I could play along after I’ve learned it. I’ve learned purely from this app and recommend to friends!
