No refund for an app I tried for 2-3 days
I meant to sign up for a free trial, but accidentally subscribed for a month instead. I was looking for an alternative to Google Maps, tried the app for a couple days and found Google Maps to work better for me. I would’ve been happy to pay for the month of Roadtrippers if I liked it, but I was done with it. When I went to cancel what I thought was my free trial within the 7 days and realizing I’d unintentionally subscribed for a month and without a free trial- I contacted customer support right away. They have refused to offer a refund. I think it’s ridiculous and feel like I’ve been scammed because I hit the wrong button. Had I clicked on the year subscription instead of the month they say it wouldn’t have been an issue, but then again I wouldn’t have been charged cancelling within 7 days, so of course not- that’s why I needed actual customer support to reverse the charge. It was not clear to me that the month subscription doesn’t include a free trial. I think this is confusing and takes advantage of those who aren’t as tech savvy.

Can’t do anything without subscribing
Would be nice if you didn’t have to pay $20 a month to just be able to use it.
Basic should be free
I had this app years ago and it was great to have but I’m not paying a subscription for it
Deleting now
This use to be the only way I would plan a road trip now its telling me I can’t even plan without a paid subscription.

Not what I was looking for
I wanted a road map app that would allow me to create my own trips using the routes I could choose myself. The mapped route is locked in and can not be modified as far as I know
Marginal
I thought using this app was marginal for my needs. Took more time to use than just going. I thought I cancelled last year and deleted the app. Now I am billed for another year !
Never approved this
I thought I signed up for free trial but never received an email or any way to contact them to cancel. I looked and I looked. And then out of the blue they charged me $60. The app is so difficult to use. I wish I had been given the chance to cancel it, but I was not.
I love this for planning and mapping out my trips!
I love this app for planning and mapping out an overall route. It’s very flexible and easy to change things around. I would have given it 5 stars except for a few glitches. I find that not everything is in the app so I do check other apps for sightseeing and camping. I also find that a lot of the links to other sites don’t work but I can usually google what I’m looking for and find it.

Dates are difficult
It’s very frustrating to change the dates on a trip. I have a 33 stop road trip and if I change the start date of my trip, I have to change every entry manually. This makes it extremely tedious when you’re making draft schedules of a trip.
Nothing else like it
Still the best app to find really cool stuff along your route. I’ve seen a lot of updates recently, too, awesome that more keeps getting poured into it
Roadtrippers Premium
After using another major app, we went back to Roadtrippers and upgraded to Premium. Absolutely loving the premium features. Highly recommend.
Useless
Used to have the paid version years ago. It was supposed to be a lifetime membership. Went to use it today. No longer a member. The free services on this app are nonexistent. Can’t even make a single trip.
Don’t do it
I canceled my free membership before the trial was over. I was charged $59.99 anyway. I paid the full amount, and want my money back or access to what I paid for.
I have sent 2 complaints. I have not received any resolution from them.
My advice is dont do it. They steal your money and go into hiding!!!

Pretty good travel mapping
We enjoy planning with Roadtrippers it has quite a few options to add stops on a route. There are a few things I wish it could do. 1. Access Harvest Host locations
2. Allow for mixed route mapping i.e, some highway some off highway. Using US highways and interstate choices while adding stops.
3. The original version allowed adding multiple location types, like places to camp and restaurants all in the same search. That was great. I would like to see that again
Other than that I use it constantly and deal with the items I can’t pick by finding those items in other apps and adding the stop as an address.

Absolute waste of money-no value
Did the trial and forgot to cancel (probably the only way they get people to join). On a 6 wk roadtrip I tried repeatedly to get some value from it but it gave nothing but garbage. The map view is the most godawful digital map leaving off city names and making road names/routes so tiny they can't easily be read. Find things near me--they gave me things at the other end of the country, and Alaska!!! Yeah that's nearby to Arkansas. Reviews for places are VERY old. A 2014 review is worthless in 2026. Camping suggestions were sketchy looking RV parks. Nothing about this app is friendly or useful. Don't waste your money.
