About

How well do you really know Japan? RoamLore is a playful way to discover the world — its geography, culture, and history — one region at a time. We're starting with Japan, because we had to start somewhere this good. Explore Japan one region at a time with Poko, your tanuki guide. (Tanuki are folklore shapeshifters; this one shape-shifted into a rather dedicated teacher.) Travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, Osaka, and beyond: finally read those place names, discover local food and traditions, and build a real sense of where things are — and why they matter. The more you know a place, the better it feels to be there — so when you finally go, the names, the food, and the streets already mean something. How it works: - Answer a short set of daily quizzes - Unlock new regions as you build mastery — no luck, no grinding, just learning - Save the facts you want to remember - Track your progress on your own passport, and collect regions like stamps Play right away — no account, no sign-up wall. Sign in with Google or Apple anytime to keep your progress safe across devices. Built to respect you: no ads, and we don't track you across other apps. (Poko has better things to do.) Japan is just the beginning — the rest of the world is already packing its bags.

What's New in RoamLore

1.0.11

July 2, 2026

- Region unlocks look the part. The "NEW REGION OPENED" moment now shows an atlas / open-book illustration for the region instead of a generic map pin, and the inner gold ring is gone for a cleaner sealed look (#312). - Home wears the real logo. The plain "RoamLore" wordmark in the header is now the full logo lockup, and the stray flag avatar in the corner is gone (KAZ-418).
