I have been reading RocaNews for several years. It started out on Instagram and as soon as they developed an app, I was on board. This is the only new source that is truly unbiased. I have learned more about world events than I’ve ever known before. The founders and staff are transparent, humble, hard-working, and thorough. I highly recommend this app.

Unable to cancel, stealing money
I’ve sent numerous messages and cancelation requests to no response from anyone on the Roca team. I’m still getting charged a monthly fee. Scummy behavior

Just because they say it is “unbiased” doesn’t magically make it true.
Bouncing news stories?
I couldn’t keep the news stories from moving up and down on my page. Is this fun for some people? It was a horrendous reading experience. Deleting app after only 5 minutes. I have no idea why people would enjoy that - no thanks.
Hands down winner
Subscriber for a few years now, and I certainly am not one who would ever have considered paying for “news”. So glad I gave it a test run. I’ll trim my spending on something less worthwhile. The app offers way more than I expected and worth every penny.
Roca
This was my favourite app in the world, I recommended it to everyone and was never as informed with regard to world news. I hate that they went to a paid only model, I felt betrayed and as a result I am leaving a bad review. ✌️
Best Non-biased News Account
Love their content and what they cover. They explore different regions of the USA as well as all over the globe. They also cover major headlines without the vitriol and opinion garbage that you get with legacy media.just straight facts and you get to decide from there.
Paywall’ed to death
This used to be an awesome app, unbiased news in a nice readable and quick format. But now everything is locked behind a paywall. And I get it, you have to make money somehow. I just wish they’d go back to the old way and add in ads to offset the cost

Used to be great
I used the app for news almost everyday. I fell off the app for a good while only to return to to see that every thing that was great about the app is now behind a pay wall. Going forward I can see myself using occasionally but unfortunately not consistently.
Getting Worse
I used to love this app and open it every single day. It was my go to for news and learning my daily things. But recently my favorite segment, happy hour news, has been put behind a paywall. Hence making me delete the app. Happy hour news is my FAVORITE aspect of rocanews, but now that I can't see it without paying, I see no point in even having the app.

The Right Stuff
RocaNews provides just the right amount of well balanced, unbiased news reporting. The three maxes story is both incredible and inspiring. It provides a well-rounded variety of stories to both educate and enlighten.
Recently Paywalled
I downloaded the Roça app to get more than their Insta content offered. I totally get needing to have paid content, but Roça just paywalled a bunch of content on the app that used to be free. Now, it offers no more content than their Insta page which makes it useless to have unless you’re a paying subscriber.
Again, I understand needing to have subscription content that brings in money, but don’t make it what we’ve been getting for free for years.
Probably deleting the app soon.

The Best News App
This is the best news app I could ask for. It keeps me informed without the endless doomscrolling, and I really appreciate that the Roca team prioritizes clear, non-biased reporting. I actually look forward to reading the news now! My husband and I go through it together every day — the polls and trivia always spark great conversations. Roca makes staying up-to-date both enjoyable and meaningful, and the random deep dives into history and lesser-known world events are a fun bonus. Highly recommend!
