No way to use coupon code
I downloaded this app because I received a mailer from Roots with coupons—despite saying they were eligible for pickup and delivery, the coupon codes didn’t work on the Roots website, so I figured it was a scam to get you to download their app. Lo and behold, there isn’t even a field to enter a coupon code in the app. I’ve never been to this restaurant despite living a block away because it seems like a tourist trap. Knowing they send out fake coupons makes me even less interested!

You had one job
This app is pretty horrible. It won’t let me do the one thing it is supposed to do, order pizza. Not to mention saving a favorite from a previous order cannot be recalled for a new one. What’s the point?

Unusable, finnicky, and entirely lacking backend QA
Is it so much to ask to want to order a pizza without needing to have my whole order deleted after my “session times out” over and over and over again? I shouldn’t have to do tech support parkour to order a single pizza.

Roots is a fun and exciting place to dine. Very casual, good food , excellent service and great atmosphere.

Terrible App - Steals Your Money
Don’t use this app, it will charge your card to add funds to your account and then Roots will charge your credit card anyway for each order. Pointless app, now I have to invest time to dispute my credit card charge. If you want to order Roots, best to use Grubhub vs this app.

I am hooked on this place. The salads are incredible and I can’t get enough of the broccoli side.
Worst App!
Worst App! Roots must lose a great deal of biz based upon customers frustration and inability to use their app. It allows you to add money to a gift card — (it doesn’t even directly debit your credit card) which means an extra step every time you place an order...more importantly I have never seen an app that has a harder time actually placing your order.I enjoy their food, however, the frustration of doing it via the app has caused me to cancel more than one order.

Frustrating
This may be a great app in other ways, but I have yet to figure out how to add an already purchased gift card. There is a section for *purchasing* a gift card, a.k.a. adding funds, but I’ve tried and failed to add the gift card that’s sitting in my wallet. So I either lose out on points by ordering the old-fashioned way, or can’t use the money sitting on the table. If somebody has actually figured it out, I will gladly acknowledge myself a pudding head for the answer.

Easy to use and cut out the middle man
This app is one of the better ones I've used for restaurants. Easy to order and collect points. I prefer to order directly from restaurants and this really makes it easy. Love roots!
Dressing Issue?
Hey folks, love the app but something is off between the app and your kitchen printers or how it gets entered into your system.
Every time we order extra dressing, whether as an add on to an item or as a completely separate item, it gets left off our order.

Hi! Thank you for the message. When you link your card, it’s the card number or the phone number. It won’t let you put both. We’ve added extra dressing options per your feedback to the salads and we are working on a crunch option- it gets tricky with potential for kitchen errors so we are moving slowly.
