A new game or update maybe?

I absolutely love this game but I’ve been thinking just about how much more fun it would be if we could our own acting careers and become a goat actor and work for multiple franchises and get sequels and new seasons like that would be fun

Masterpiece

This is truly the best, most in depth movie game out there right now. It’s hard, fun, complex and has a lot of replayability. The newest update fixed so many problems, it’s such a big improvement. This is the game flying under the radar at the moment. I have just two recs for the developer that I think would make the game all that much better. First, you recycle the titles of movies and tv shows over and over again, and it makes it hard to track what my actors are actually doing. Like, it’s fun to see an actor get their first hit movie in “A Small Fire”. But then there’s like two other “A Small Fires” on the submissions board and one more in the festival circuit and another appearing a year later. Imagine if every year there were two “One Battle After Another’s” and two more on TV. Please just add like 300 more titles or something. And the second rec is please change the actor portraits. They’re terrifying. They also don’t match the new game aesthetic or look.

Hahaha thank you so much for the kind words. Many, if not all, of your concerns have been adjusted in the 2.0 update!

Hmm

The game is deliberately made difficult to succeed without spending real money. Whenever you have an actor that makes your agency a decent amount of money, the conveniently decide to retire or take a career break. The game constantly crashes/returns to the main screen every few in game days (so every other real time minute). When you somehow make it further into the game, and fire actors, their old casting emails still reappear despite constantly deleting emails. I would not recommend this game at all and there are so many better alternatives that actually work (for free)

Graphics

I love the game I like the first layout before the update honestly but it’s still a good game and also I like the previous layout because you can see how many pc you had before you even took a audition

Response from developer

Thank you for playing! You can still see your PC if you tap the top left bar the shows you how much money you have! Just tap it and it’ll expand and show you your political capital as well as the amount of money you have :)

Great game!

love the details! definitely has potential to keep expanding!

Response from developer

Thank you!

Great Game!

The game is amazing, but as you reach higher agency levels, it becomes really hard to manage your actors because they are constantly unhappy, and it seems like you just can’t please them. There are some things that need tweaking, like when I signed someone to my agency and got them an audition, but then they took a creative break. Also, it would be helpful to know more about what the actor wants to do in terms of roles instead of assuming. More movies, shows, or theater projects would be nice. Additionally, when an actor is brought back for a show, it says you can negotiate for a higher role, but I don’t see that option. I also haven’t gotten a Broadway transfer yet, even though I opt in for that on contracts.

Broadway transfers don’t happen often. They’re rare. I’ll work on the tuning of this. Be sure to check out the new update

Things to fix !

It’s a wonderful game but some things need to be fix first we don’t make enough money to be having to pay every month for the agency I also think that every actor should have a social media account and gain followers you know I also feel like we should be able to give the actors gigs like covers on magazines and stuff and I also think we should customize the actors and stuff and see they net worth and how much they gain from each film/show other and can they be able to do 2 or more at the same time

Thank you for the ideas! Make sure early game you’re going for more of the big budget projects (although they are more competitive). They’ll offer bigger payouts!

Fun but hard to use

I was really interested in the premise of the game but only managed about two hours of attempting to play before realising everything is poorly explained or not explained at all, as well as a lot of the main screen dialogues have been written by AI which is massively disappointing, it’s clear by the intonation of the sentences as well as the structure. I think the game has a lot of space to be great and to be the sort of game I’d play for HOURS and weeks or months rather than a couple of days if only I understood the mechanics. Please make more in depth tutorials about what actions can be taken when and make it more clear when a talent is a match for a certain project. I spent most of my time trying to read summaries of roles, it would be great if you could more easily filter and if signing bookings were easier to understand.

Feedback

Hello Jayson, I have been playing your game for a couple months now and i’ve the issues i’ve experienced and some things i’ve thought of while playing that I think would be a great addition to elevate your game more. You have outdone other developers with the structure and level of detail you have implemented and i’m really impressed. Great work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I apologize for the lengthy review.

Issues
- My game does not successfully save when it’s manually saved and sometimes the automatic save does not work.
- Whenever I hire one of my clients to a franchise i get the same messages (updates, progress, and payment notifications) every week from that gig
- Overly frequent client complaints. Occasionally it makes sense but complaining every single week even when demands are met is overkill.

Possible Additions
- Actor creation
- building an actors team or company team: (talent agent, entertainment lawyer, business manager, executive assistant, security, social media manager, publicist, etc) options available or the player can do everything
- relationship management: (casting directors, producers, directors, networks, streaming services, journalists, entertainment attorneys, brand companies, studio executives) comes with benefits, risks, etc
-detailed scheduling: a yearly scheduling plan tethered to each actor consisting of auditions, filming, press tours, interviews, premieres, award shows, personal time, coaching, etc..
- financial screen/oversight of each actor to track: protect/commercial income, residuals, royalties, brand deals, appearance fees, taxes, investments, insurance, assistants, life expenses, etc
- business developments for each actor if it is desirable: directing, producing, writing, merchandise, brand ambassador, licensing, beauty products, clothing lines, fragrances, etc
- company structure: ceo/founder, president, COO, CFO, talent management team, business affairs team, marketing and pr team, operations team, development team. options available or player can do it all

Amazing but..

I’m enjoying the game so far but I’m slightly disappointed that there are no tutorials to understand what political capital is and what spending them may mean. Also the actors are constantly moaning about something even after you meet all their requirements. Please look into a fix for that

Love

Such a niche game..I love !!

Good game

Needs a difficulty mode. Also, add a Reddit community or discord for updates

Great, but one major flaw

This is easily the best, most in depth film industry sim out there. There’s so much to do. And what’s really great is that as you build your roster and they all get more famous and successful, the game just opens up even more with new challenges. HOWEVER. Once your agency goes to the “emerging” tier, all my actors do is complain and say they’re unhappy, in ways that make no sense. I just booked one client the lead in a blockbuster AND booked her the lead in an HBO show and used my political capital to move the start date of the show back so she could do both. And yet, she emails me every single day about how unhappy she is and she’s not getting any projects. Like, what? This is true for ALL 12 of my clients. They’re all currently filming something great, and they every single one of them emails me EVERY DAY about how upset they are. Half of them are asking me to get them more projects, which I literally can’t do because they’re filming something. It’s gotten so bad that I have to give up on them. It’s simply unplayable because of this. Every day my inbox is full of the same exact unhappy email from every client, the same email they sent the literal day before. Please for the love of God fix this.

Good Game

Good game really enjoying it but… Actors get unsatisfied and morale drops way too easily. Seems impossible to get morale and satisfaction up once it’s tanked. Constant email spam’s from your actors telling you how unhappy they are with nothing you can do about it.

Response from developer

This was the biggest bug, it’s been fixed!

Needs work, but promising

The actors being mad about everything is too much. It’s not realistic, they can be making 1million a role but yet still they are unhappy and blowing up your inbox. Please tone it down or make it more realistic.

And reduce the frequency of them taking creative breaks when they just did one student film lol

Response from developer

Tell me you’ve never managed actors before, hahah! But I’m introducing a difficulty mode setting in the coming update. Be on the look out for it!

Good game but

I hate when I press new day it says blocked sometimes it annoys me can you guys get rid of that

Response from developer

Hi’ It blocks you from moving forward because there’s a decision you must make, something you have to attend to in your inbox! And then the game allows you to move forward.

Love!

I absolutely love this game. My only issue is with the new update all the actors go on creative break, constantly and it’s annoying, even forces me to stop playing sometimes.

Game

I love this game a LOT. It’s really detailed and has a lot going for it and I am excited for the updates. I would love to see a game like a Dance Studio owner simulator where you run and own a dance studio & competition team etc. I think that would be cool for a future game idea, since theres nothing like it that’s formatted like this game. Can’t wait to see more. 😊

I appreciate this! Thank you :) and incredible idea. I'll have to look into it!!

Great Game

definitely one of the best games dealing with actors & simulating, add in faster simulation option & that’s all I got for right now

Response from developer

Thanks so much! Will fold in that faster sim option in an update at some point for sure :)
