The S14 essentially doesn’t work because the app doesn’t connect. Garbage app.

This app does not see or control Rotel RC 1590 preamp.

This is one of the best apps I’ve used for streaming, it’s very high quality and the app is easy to navigate

The old issues with the app have been resolved. The app runs smooth and supports the great HIFI amps made by Rotel. 5 stars.
Useless App
Very limited functionality. Can tune in some internet radio but doesn’t control the amp itself, not like the Denon App which controls every aspect of the AVR. It’s really not worth the download.
Doesn’t find the RA1572 MkII
Online Rotel faq says this app should work with the RA 1572, but the app doesn’t find the amp.

Unable to connect to S14
Cannot connect to the S14. In the owners manual it states you use this app to be able to use Tidal connect so it is possible to stream hi-res lossless music. Without it you cannot stream with anytime other than airplay 2 spotify and google chrome cast. These do not stream in hi-res lossless .

Unable to control amp
This is a perplexing update. On one hand, the app it replaced looks better and has smoother operation. However, I am now unable to connect to or control my A14. I have performed a factory reset and updated the software, but to no avail. This has forced me to go back to the old app titled “14 Series” which does still work and hope that the Rotel developers can fix this issue.

Doesn’t work
Rotel had an app that worked fine and they have replaced it with this one that doesn’t connect to my amplifier. Go figure.
Warning destroys compatibility with RC1572 preamp
The Rotel app that controlled my 3 year-old RC-1572 preamp auto updated to this new version. This new version has nothing to do with my Rotel product. It overwrote the app I use to control my preamp taking away an important feature. Seems there is no way to go back to the version I had and Rotel effectively just revoked a feature of a product I bought new 3 years ago. I’m very disappointed about it.

Nice Layout
Nice presentation , bit limited in functionality would be great to control rt1570 , I would rate higher but every time you open the app it first scans network for device which takes ages before you can adjust volume , surely it should remember last known device specially if device has fixed ip
