Scam

This app is illegal to market in its current form in the UK

This app breaches the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. This bans fees and pricing that is hidden before the contract is made (in this case at the moment the app is downloaded).

This is because it only operates a limited number of times before a fee is required to continue using it. This fee MUST be shown along with any unavoidable taxes and fees before the app is downloaded.

The penalty for breaching this is a fine of up to 10% of the vendor’s annual turnover. The vendor is the Apple Store.

Really Great!

I’ve been using this app for years, and I’m absolutely loving it. Easy to use, and considering that it’s a phone app there’s nothing that comes close to it. I just wanted to express my gratitude to the man who developed this real audiophile-oriented app. Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏

Gratis?

Ma non era gratis?

Now I know my TD124 is too slow

I didn’t used it 10x yet.
As a free alternative you can Phyphox gyroscope and look at z axis. It will give you the rotation speed in rad/s.
But you won’t have the fluter and the extra features offered here.

FAQ

What does the RPM app do?

This app measures the real-time rotational speed accuracy of your turntable. It displays speed variations, known as wow and flutter, both numerically and graphically, allowing you to make necessary adjustments for optimal audio performance.

How does the app measure turntable speed?

The app utilizes the gyroscope within your iPhone to determine the rotation speed of your turntable. It automatically detects the speed setting (16, 33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) and reports its accuracy.

Is the app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, offering core functionality for measuring turntable speed and wow/flutter. Additional features and advanced capabilities may be available through in-app purchases.

What are the benefits of using this app for my turntable?

By providing real-time feedback on speed accuracy and wow/flutter, the app helps you identify and correct inconsistencies. This can lead to improved audio quality, a more stable soundstage, and a better overall listening experience for your vinyl records.

Can I save and share my turntable test results?

Yes, the app includes a history log where you can save all your RPM test sessions. These saved sessions can be reviewed later or shared, allowing you to track your turntable's performance over time or compare it with others.
