Recent improvements have been great :D
First off I appreciate all the work that’s been done lately improving this app! Thank you! I’ve noticed everything is much more fluid (everything seems to be moving a lot quicker), I don’t have to reset the app to look up multiple walls/routes, tick/project buttons are working great, I no longer have ticks on routes I didn’t make, and I think the route filtering feature is new? either way I love it!
Minor issues with the bar charts on the profile page: for routes sent for each month the axis is non-sequential and for the routes sent at each grade the binning is wrong. Just wanted to bring it up in case it hasn’t been noticed by admins. Thank you so much for making this app better I really like using it!
Second off download this app if you want the most accurate guide for RRG hands down :D

This app works as well as the circular piece of cardboard blocking the view into the rectangular window in the women’s bathroom stall at Miguel’s. The website was awesome but now it is the same layout as the app and neither will load any info.

Still a little crunchy..
First of all I’m grateful for all the work Ray has put in over the decades to make a series of wonderful guidebooks as well as the RRC.com website which was absolutely awesome.. This app, while helpful for beta on the loads of new development not included in the guidebooks, pales in comparison to the functionality of the old website. It is glitchy and gets hung up, map is minimally useful with lack of links to walls, usernames revert to email addresses, and the ‘show on topo’ feature is nonexistent for me.. If there was a proper and functional online guide I’d be fine with paying for it if that would help get it done- I don’t need everything to be free if it means compromising the user experience. I really just miss the old RRC.com and it’s wealth of information and ribald banter. This isn’t meant to be a complaint as much as constructive criticism to help improve the app. Thanks Ray!

I came here to rant about all the bugs with this app. BUT then I read a response to a previous review from the developer, legend Ray Ellington. I feel for ya man. Making the transition from the old website to this must be quite the process. I hope that you and your team are able to get this app dialed. Also I hope that in the future, all of the data will be able to be cached or saved onto my device so the app doesn’t have to reload it every time I use it and so I can access the info while I’m romping out in the north gorge trying to figure out which splitter crack I’m gonna get on!
This app has the potential to be awesome! I’m excited to use it once the kinks are worked out.

Always crashes
Can’t get this thing to work at all, miss the comments and info that the old website offered. I guess I’ll use mountain project.
Needs some work
Just giving an update about current issues I’ve been having on IOS. The map is basically unusable. It crashes and resets every 1-3 seconds before you even get a chance to click on anything. Only other issue is when viewing certain areas such as sacred ruins, the app will crash and only view 1/4 of the screen. You have to close the app and reload it after that happens. This will also happen randomly as well. This app really does have some great potential. But it can be extremely frustrating.

Why?
This site used to have great organization and functionality, now the data barely loads, app gets stuck in screens you can’t back out of, advanced search is gone, gets stuck on loading screens... did you set out to destroy the website and app? It’s a shame.
Edit: I’m sorry I sounded so rude. Your response was so polite and I do appreciate what you’ve done for the Gorge. Been using the website for 10 years and miss how good it was.

Please Fix This App
I appreciate wanting to update the website and have an app but there are a lot of bugs with this. I find myself using mountain project way more now because this app crashes constantly and has a more difficult layout than the old website. Again, I am thankful to those who have put in a lot of hard work on this, but please address the issues if possible.

I migrated the site and all of its data over to a new platform that is WAY easier to maintain. It allows me to make code updates in one place and push out to both the app and the website. Hang in there with me though with the lack of features and decreased performance. I had to make the cut-over because it was becoming a pain to keep the website in sync with the app. Plus my bill with maintaining both the new platform (which hosted Foxtown bouldering) and the old RRC was getting pretty expensive. Rather than moving Foxtown over to an old school platform I decided to move RRC over to the new stuff. It'll get better, I promise. I've got some great help now too.

This is by far and away the most accurate guide out there. It’s super user friendly and simple and the commentary is perfect. The star ratings and descriptions are more accurate than MP and there is more complete info throughout. Well done!

I love this book so much! Even with all of my peepee. It shows climbing paths up cliffs all over Kentucky and the world including Himalayas and Africa.
