Very cool synth
Great lead sounds and sounds that “move”. Brings great sounds I don’t otherwise have. Plug a sequencer into it in AUM and it just sounds great and different than my other synths. I’ll get more stuff from this creator as I can… very impressed and pleased.
Simple, fast, and sounds great
What more could you ask for? I’ve been using the demo for a while, but I had to buy it because it’s so good. I have several other synth apps that I use for bass and pad sounds, but there’s something special about the sound of Ivoks. Pair that with a simple interface that makes playing fun and quick/easy to dial in, and it’s well worth the cost. Thank you for a great app!

Arpeggios all the time
No chance to switch off arp. How to switch it off???

Presets and standalone problems
I can now recommend this app. They have implemented global preset management, which means you can create a preset, save it in the Ivoks app, and retrieve the preset in any other host apps. Yes!
I really would love to use this in stand-alone mode, but it still just runs as a useless “demo”.

CC mapping was useful
I’m loving this great synth even more with midi plugins to add things like filter keytrack and pitch envelope.
Possible bug: volume of the Noise generator drastically reduces when oversampling.

Presets and standalone problems
Can only save your own presets in the host you are using. Presets in one host are not available in others. So, if you make a preset and save it in AUM, it is not available in Logic Pro... you would have to recreate the preset in Logic! That and the fact that this does not have a proper stand-alone means I find it extremely limited.
The synth itself is wonderful. Too bad it suffers from usability issues.

Very Good!
I took my time before writing a review about Ivoks.
This synth is great. Like… really good! It’s my go-to for bassline, acid, etc.
Not to mention the scalable GUI. Chef’s kiss! 👌

Optional Duophonic, PLEASE
I love this company, this synth, this digital version. I would greatly welcome the return of the duophonic mode. I may be in the minority but it is much more raw and cool than four voice poly. The way the envelopes work in a Duo synth. Not the same as only playing two notes at a time on a poly.

How do I change the background constant or heating? It’s doing our PGA our piggy arpeggios? how do I change the constant notes it’s doing! Is there a manual to turn it off and just get a single tone the standalone I know I’m a bit dim

Great when it worked
Has reverted back to the demo with no way to obtain what I paid for. No settings, no refresh, nothing just the demo arp.
Control knobs…
One thing I hate about this application is that all knobs turn much too slowly. Fixing that would be a major improvement

My favourite synth
If I could have one synth it would be this. I haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing the real thing so in this sense my praise does not reflect such judgment - all I can say is I absolutely love the sound. What I can also say is that I have heard a great many synths and this one has something extraordinary special - it captures something unique in that it somehow creates a ‘living machine’ imagine such a thing - a totally inorganic entity with something to say. Absolutely fantastic!

Cool…but 1 star
I’m only leaving 1 star because there is literally no way to play the standalone and sound design. More then likely would have bought it had there been a keyboard on the standalone even if you have to bring it up. I don’t know maybe I’m just dumb but I saw no way to actually use the app on just the phone with out having to plug a midi controller.

No tempo or sequencer
Was gonna by but I can’t even adjust tha tempo, and I get that as a plug-in it self sets, or maybe even with ableton which there are no settings for, but ya no tempo adjuster and no sequencer. Kinda seems like jus another rando synthesizer.
Keyboard?
I might have liked it but I couldn’t find how to turn on a keyboard in the standalone version. If I’m missing something and there is one on board then this review will change

I made a cool new patch, I can’t figure out how to save patches.

Update: I am not using this with a daw. I want to use it standalone. In standalone it could not save my patches.

You can save custom patches to the DAW you are using, each of them has the ability to save patches.
