Frustrating performance

When the app encounters changes in data, from 4g to 5g it stops unexpectedly. It also stops unexpectedly for other unnoticed reason.

Could be better

It’s a good app, but it could a great app. It runs a little slow no matter what you use it on iPad etc. More listen back features would be great with longer times to listen back to, not just the past week as on Lyric FM. However still high quality entertainment from RTE!

Unusable on the move

Generally the app works well until you’re on the move. The buffering is practically nil so sound cuts out frequently making it unusable. On a train and the consistency was atrocious.

RTE is great

Enjoy the best news and programs in the world on RTE.

Adore The RTE Radio Player!

Our daughter lives in Ireland and we visit as frequently as we can. Love to live stream and listen in the States! Our favorite is Late Date!

News Claire Byrne

From the US keeps me update on Irish issues , also enjoy RTE coverage of American news

Great Irish radio

If you are interested in Irish culture, current affairs and news then this is the app for you.

Great app

I use it to listen to Irish radio in England when I’m feeling homesick, or want to listen to good quality music shows and DJ’s.

Very poor app

Cannot pause or rewind a live program. Long time lapse after live program until it is available to listen back.

Show

Love it as we are in America since 1988

Fair city

Who in gods name comes up with these stories

Limited functions

Please enhance this ap. there is no pause or rewind options. Its not that stable either.

Best radio app on the planet

RTE Gold is a life saver
When I just need to listen to music it’s the one

Playback

Love this facility and the Timer which allows sleep if listening late in the evening. I am out all day and travel overseas each month, but, having this allows me to keep up to date with all news and programmes as little or as much as I wish

A great service to the world

Thank you, RTE, for making Irish language programming available to folks outside Ireland. It’s an invaluable resource for those of us trad musicians and those learning Gaeilge.

Gaeilge

I’m 78, grew up (or at least partially up) in Ireland , better at Gaelic than Béarla then. As I listen I understand more. Go hÁlainn

Poor

Compared to other radio players like LBC and BBC this is really woeful

Sunday Miscellany

It’s the middle of the night in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, but it’s worth being awake to listen to the programme. After all, Limerick is less than 100 miles south of here.

A simple but effective way of listening to all things RTÉ Radio.

Yes, the RTÉ Radio app upgrade is different to the previous one. Different good! Here we have a simple and visual means of selecting all that’s available on this site. Much easier to get around compared to the previous version. Really well done.

I especially like the RTÉ radio “Listen Back” feature on this app and to continue listening later if interrupted. Simple to keep up to date with the goings in Ireland. Thank you. Phelim

2nd Generation I Mheiriceá

Being a part of my family’s second generation in America from Ireland, i tend to feel so close and yet so far away. There are not many to speak the language with here in Michigan as a mitten clover. Having unfettered access to Raidío na Gaeltachta has been a great blessing.
