About
RTSP Camera turns your iPhone or iPad into an RTSP server. With no cloud and no account, it streams camera video (H.264) and microphone audio (AAC) in real time to clients on the same network.
■ How it works
- Tap "Start streaming" and the app shows an address like rtsp://[device IP]:8554/live.
- Connect to that address from VLC, ffplay, an NVR and more on the same Wi-Fi to watch.
- Video is sent directly from the device to the client, without any external server.
■ Key features
- Live camera preview and streaming control
- Viewer count, viewer trend chart and elapsed time
- Lock portrait or landscape streaming orientation
- One-tap address copy
- Optional RTSP access authentication (Digest) — credentials are stored in the device Keychain
- Optional cellular streaming: push to your own RTMP relay (BYO)
■ Before you start
- You need a separate client on the same network (e.g., VLC) to watch.
- Streaming works only while the app is on screen (iOS does not allow background streaming).
- Authentication is off by default. Turn it on for public or untrusted networks.
- Cellular streaming requires a relay server you set up and operate yourself.
■ Privacy
This app does not collect user data. Video and audio are sent directly only to the destination you specify.
