Rummy Three Card Poker is a casino card game that combines elements of Gin Rummy and Three Card Poker. Players are dealt three-card hands and compete directly against the dealer, aiming to achieve a lower point total than the dealer's hand to win.
Scoring is unique: pairs and suited runs count as zero points. Aces are always low (1 point). Other cards are face value, with face cards worth 10 points. The goal is to get fewer points than the dealer. If a hand can form both a pair and a run, the lowest value is counted.
Players start with an Ante bet. After seeing their hand, they can choose to Fold (losing the Ante) or Raise (matching the Ante). There is also an optional Bonus Bet that offers various payouts based on the hand's point total.
No, the dealer's hand must have 20 points or fewer to qualify. If the dealer does not qualify, the player wins even money on the Ante, and the Raise bet is refunded. If both hands are of equal value, both bets are returned as a 'Push'.
The Bonus Bet has varied payouts. A total of zero points earns 25-to-1, a suited A-2-3 earns 100-to-1. Other payouts include 4-to-1 for 11-12 points, even money for 7-10 points, and 2-to-1 for 1-6 points. Hands of 13 or more points lose the Bonus Bet.
