About

You don't get better at jiu-jitsu all at once. You get better one rung at a time. RUNG is the training system for BJJ practitioners who are done showing up without a plan. Most grapplers work hard. They show up, they roll, they watch instructionals. But without structure, effort doesn't compound — it just repeats. RUNG fixes that. One position, one week, one rung at a time. YOUR GAME PLAN IN 2 MINUTES Answer 4 questions and RUNG builds your personalised weekly roadmap: your current phase, your focus position, your weekly move, and your if/then decision chain. Every week starts with clarity. Every session has a purpose. One rung at a time. THE 4-PHASE SYSTEM Every BJJ practitioner moves through four phases — Pin Escapes, Immediate Offence, Pinning, and Submissions. RUNG places you on the map and keeps you there. You always know what you're building and what comes next. Adding more techniques without direction makes you slower. Climbing one rung at a time makes you dangerous. THE SKILL LADDER One move. Nine rungs. You start with lighter, lower-skill partners and climb progressively to heavier, higher-skill training. RUNG tracks exactly where you are and tells you when you're ready to move up. This is how skill gets installed — not hoped for. One rung after another. THE STUDY LOOP Log your study source before every session. Paste a YouTube link and open it directly from the Today screen. Note the one detail you're applying. Five to ten minutes only. Then get on the mat. Small input, applied consistently — one rung after another. POST-SESSION LOG After every roll, drill, or comp — log it in 30 seconds. Five process questions. RUNG scores your session and tracks it over time. The standard is simple: did you execute your plan? Taps don't count. Process does. Every logged session is a rung climbed. COMPETE TAB Three guided breathing protocols, Circles of Control, and Pre-Roll Visualisation. Tools to regulate your nervous system before sparring, a belt promotion, or competition day. Compete day is built in training — one rung at a time. JOURNAL Your full session history, weekly streak, process score average, and six-week performance chart. Filter by Roll, Drill, or Comp. This is your data. This is proof that the rungs are adding up. RUNG is not a technique library. It is not a video platform. It is the operating system that makes everything else work. You don't need to train harder. You need to train with direction. One rung after another — until the climb becomes the game Structure beats intensity. Systems beat motivation. Clarity beats random effort.
