What's New in Runplanner

1.4.0

October 8, 2026

- Runplanner is now available in German. Choose Deutsch in Settings - The planner shows distance, time and pace while you plan. Tap the pace to set a different pace for that route, and it is saved with the route - During navigation the map faces along the route ahead, so it turns before corners instead of after them and no longer jumps to north - Navigation keeps running when your iPhone screen is locked - A fresh, cleaner design for popups, sheets and screens, including the route details - Back up all your routes, plans, gear and scheduled runs to one file in Settings > Backup & restore, and restore it on any iPhone or Android phone - A new start screen on the Routes tab: tap on the map, make a loop or import a GPX file, with routes near you right below - Scheduling a run is simpler: route, day, time, repeat and a note in one list. You can schedule straight after saving a route - After planning a run, add it to your calendar or invite a running buddy. Tap the date on a planned route to change the day or time, remove it or start the run - Your unsaved route is kept when you close the app, and you get a warning before another route or a new loop replaces it. Deleted routes can be brought back with Undo - Start and Resume on a saved route now start navigation right away - Hold the Stop button to end a run. If the app closes during a run you can continue it, and your pace leaves out pauses - Loop routes no longer count as finished right at the start - Numbers, times and dates follow your language and phone settings: commas in Dutch and German, 12 or 24-hour times and weeks starting on Monday. Miles users get mile presets and filters - The map stays smooth while routes and loops are calculated - Smoother animations: navigation starts with a smooth zoom, the turn marker pings as you get close, and deleted routes fold away with Undo. All of it follows your Reduce Motion setting - Better VoiceOver support, and an easy way back when location access was refused - Better readable buttons and menus in dark mode, and clearer Dutch texts
