1st camp ever.!

Very clean and organized.

DANGEROUS UPDATE

Recent update requires acknowledging some legal BS before merging to the map for driving. When the app/iPhone/radio etc reboots or disconnects during a drive the map will not cube back up until you acknowledge the legal BS on the iPhone. Can’t legally do that driving in most states, and even if you could it’s dangerous leaving the only option to use another machination app that doesn’t consider RV limitations or stop driving to get out worked out.

Time to find another app of this isn’t fixed in a week.

Overall Disappointing

I have been using RV Life GPS Pro for over two years now. After today, I will be looking for something else. With today’s technology, I just don’t understand the logic and feedback of the system and it is getting worse. I fulltime in a 39’ 5th wheel and to be ask to make u-turns and travel thru city neighborhoods is unacceptable!!!

Smokey Bear Campground, Cosby, Tn

This is not a large campground but the owners are awesome and very accommodating. We’ve been coming to this campground for 13 years. Barry and Chong have since turned it over to their son and daughter-in-law who are just as accommodating. Would give it Six stars out of five!!

Good Info - Too Difficult to navigate

The learning curve on RV Life is too high. The way it works is not natural and it doesn’t follow common standards. I’ve tried this numerous times and it just doesn’t work for me.

Only somewhat helpful

Doesn't adjust for traffic or find shortest routes. Often avoids allowable routes taking us out of the way. For example NJ parkway allows campers. App doesn't seem to know that. We try and run this and Waze at the same time but always scary as don't know if Waze routes are safe!

Horrible GPS

Buyer beware, this is the absolute worst GPS I have ever used. It is not user friendly and constantly re- routing. This app is not worth $1.00 let alone $60.00. Do not purchase this app.

Radius Tool is A Life Saver

I use this tool for all my initial planning. I hate to drive more than 3 hours pulling a trailer. This app makes it really easy to figure out how far out from my campground of choice do I want to drive to the next destination. To have the freedom to program this function to whatever length of times you prefer is genius! I love all the reviews for each campsite too. Very helpful app.

Hard to enter trips

First time user and I named a trip trying to use my current starting location. I had to turn permission on in my phone for it to use location ( understandable), came back to the app and had to start over. Tried naming the trip with the same name and it showed the trip already existed. I checked trips, planned trips , and archived trips and it didn’t show anywhere. I tried to enter twice more with a new name and although permissions wer on, the app continued to say permissions were not on. I gave up. It could be a great app, who knows?

Not intuitive

Looking for elevations and road curviness

GPS

The app did go safely where I wanted to go on the two trips I used it for. My issue with the app is that it left in a turn lane two different times while traveling. Also there were a couple of times when I was confused on what she was saying. I really think they should change that voice, it was annoying.

So Many Issues

Where do I begin? How about telling me to get off - trailer in tow - at exit 119 south on I-41 in Wisconsin just to get right back on? How about that I picked a route from Door County to Rockford through Madison, not Milwaukee, but this stupid app changed back to Milwaukee without my approval? How about the fact that the default zoom level is way too zoomed in and YOU CANT CHANGE IT.? How about that it lowers your music volume to speak and then doesn’t turn it back up for 15-30 min so you’re blasted with loud music randomly? How about that it tells you to “keep left” to stay on 90 W at 94 north of Madison (going south) when keeping left will take you on 94 (wrong verbal directions are a constant problem)? How about telling you to turn into Airstream of Chicago in Naperville through an exit only drive that is facing the opposite direction? I could go on and on, but this is the worst, most frustrating GPS app ever created.

Rv Life GPS

I’m really grateful for this GPS because it saves me from low-clearance bridges. I would give it 5 stars if it showed traffic lights and stop signs, which are very helpful markers when it comes to upcoming turns.

Hard to get into trip wizard.

Great trip planning app, but they make it very hard to get into the trip wizard. The most used function

Piece of trash and dangerous

Let’s talk pros. I love the review, tips of places.

Now negatives. I used the GPS paid version this weekend. During the set up I made sure to avoid a highway that everyone said was not safe in a trailer. However the program kept changing to the dangerous route. On the way going it added an extra hour to my route as I tried to find the right route. Even coming home I had to redo the directions multiple times.

With CarPlay you can’t move in or out, the computer voice doesn’t shut up and is so annoying you want to scream. The only way to turn it I off is closing the program on your phone.

I’ll use the free version of this to read and write reviews. But personally I consider the GPS portion to be extremely frustrating, annoying and dangerous to use in my opinion

Worthless

Does not provide RV safe routes

Limited

The app is not user friendly for someone with a novice skill set on navigating the application. It was not easy trying to set up a trip, with fuel and rest stops.
It does show fuel stations along the route, however it does not show fuel pricing or any other data. This information is available with the tom-tom app in my truck.
There are other apps available that shows as much, if not more information on the parks.
A seven day trial period isn’t enough to truly test the app sufficiently.

Deep and difficult

So, I’ve been using RVLife Pro for about 4 months now. Does it help you plan for a trip? Absolutely! However, it does so in strange ways that make planning quite difficult. If there was a way to set start and final destination, THEN suggest your stop areas based on your set criteria, (eg. 3-3-3, or 2-2-2 or distance etc…), Then I believe it would be easier to use. As it stands, you can select start and end, then you have to manually find your stopping point, not knowing anything about those stops, by guessing where you stop between Start and End points.

I guess I’m saying the app is good but can be better and I’m having a time articulating my suggestions in print.
