Good app. But wonder why they cannot enable payment through Apple? Yes, they’d lose some commision to Apple, but also can get a lot more subscription base in the process. At least they should have a payment process that goes through browser where the customer feels secured about the payment. True they have tied up with Stripe, but there’s a psychological barrier when asked for card details within the app (with no way to check how that data is recorded or not) for most customers to feel confident to go ahead with the payment. I didn’t. Not to say that they haven’t ensured the security, but why not provide mechanisms that users feel comfortable with? I don’t mind paying 50% more for their subscription if they routed it through Apple’s App Store payment gateway or through the PayTM or even Stripe (or equivalent) but through the gateway’s website on the browser.
