Needs IT work!
Unable to open the app for several days now… when it was working, it is clearly not a well thought out site… the icons are confusing and can easily be simplified. Needs complete overhaul.

Won’t open
I just left my public library with the knowledge of this new app. I installed & deleted several times as it will not open. The book icon shows, the leaf shows then it asks to use my location (I tried each option to no success) then it says - error 403 clients side. Such a bummer. Back to Safari I go.

No Apple Wallet Support
Please please add Apple wallet support for our library card barcode so we can pull it up quickly
Bring back the scan and go feature!
One of the best things about this app was the scan and go feature that was added about a year or so ago. I went to the library a couple weeks ago to pick up my holds and went to scan in my books on the app and saw the feature is no longer available 😭 it made checking out so convenient— pls bring it back!

Terrible App
I am unable to renew my library card through the app. This app is totally useless and antiquated! It does not have a descent reading format and choices of fonts, especially for dyslexic people and the ability to change the background for a more appealing read! Improve the app!
AMAZING
ok so this app is very simple you find which book you want at the library find out if it’s available in whatever form u want. I use it to put physical books on hold and depending on the wait time receive at the nearest sac branch.
Glitchy
The app is glitchy and sometimes with searches the screen will go white. It also was made in like a web browser format as the back button cannot be seen from my mobile device.
Convenient
This is a really helpful app that makes it convenient to check out the library catalog and place holds on the go. The app can be a little clunky and slow at times but it’s a great alternative to the website

Makes borrowing books so much easier! Looking forward to seeing how it develops.
Needs work
I was going to submit a very similar review to Mossum1’s. I was excited to see that Sac Public Library created its own app as I’m a frequent library user. The interface is easy to use, however when I go to my account and try to renew books, a blank screen comes up. Also, I know the factoids that come up when the app is slowly loading by heart now since they come up every time. I will continue to use the app and look forward to its developers making improvements.📚💚

Needs more work
I was excited to see they came out with this app, as I am a weekly user of my local library. The interface seems easy enough except that my "want to read" list did not come over from the previous platform. My only other complaint is that this app is slow to load, presenting the same (erroneous) factoids while one waits. It would be more interesting if the factoids were different each time, and more reliable if someone confirmed the accuracy of the statements. I hope this app will continue to see improvements over time.

Doesn’t open properly
Like a couple of other reviews, I can’t get this to open on iPad OS 18. The screen is blank, and process icon just spins.
Excited for this, probably will improve with time
Was very happy to see this come out. It’s definitely buggy though as I’d expect any new app to be. Specifically just has trouble loading things and crashes at random points. I also agree with others that adding a feature to have your library card added to your Apple wallet and scannable from there would be great and better than loading the bar code in the app at least until the app is faster and not buggy.

Lagging
I can’t even get the app to open. It’s just loads on.
It won’t work!
I was so excited that you have an app and downloaded it right away, but it doesn’t work. The landing screen when you try to open the app just spins and spins and spins and never opens. It’s also very frustrating that there’s no way to contact support for help.
New library app!!
I’m really impressed with this new app from my local library! It’s super easy to use, and everything works seamlessly so far. You can browse for books or place holds. Great job to the developers—this app is a game-changer for library users.
Baby steps
Not a bad first step, but the new search is wonky. Library news and notes(ala the website) would have been a nice touch.

One flaw
For the most part, it seems like a nice app. However There is one annoying flaw. It is not showing any of my reading lists from the website account.
