NEVER ANY SKIPPERS.
Me and my boyfriend used to use skippers all the time but recently they have just not been good. they never have any skippers and sometimes they’ll give us a skipper and then cancel it. It’s not a good company anymore. i wish they were better because it really is a great way of transportation but they just haven’t been the same since last year.

Drivers are never available, have ridiculous wait times, or do not arrive to the correct location. Vehicles are often not clean, and is generally a bad experience.
Inconsistent
The drivers tend to make stops at random locations that aren’t drop offs or pickup spots. And wait there for 10-20 minutes before resuming driving it is highly unprofessional and extremely frustrating, when they wait down the street from where you are supposed to be picked up. Also they removed the option to call your driver for some odd reason which makes it impossible to reach your driver. I’ve had to cancel many rides due to this issue I would not recommend skipper to anyone, until they crack down on their drivers and their inability to do their job.

Leaves young girls stranded
You can order it for $1 but don’t expect to actually make it home! They’ll go to the wrong pick up spot and not even wait the full 5 minutes before just driving off and leaving you stranded. I’m 17, being left stranded on the street could be dangerous for me.

Don’t use this app unless you want groceries you have to carry to another location for pickup & Not just the fact they never go away when you delete them, if you even get a ride from them, they are distracted from actual driving!

Terrible Service
Need to get somewhere? better start trying to book a ride 1.5 hrs in advance, takes forever to get to you, rides are never available, and drivers will just make random stops to get other people, throwing off the ETA by up to 30 minutes. Sounds good on paper, terrible execution.
I’ve been hesitant to use this service… but I’m so happy I gave it a try.
As said in the title: I was told about this app/service last year and was curious but never gave it a try. I wish I did. I would have saved hundreds by now! I don’t know how this service works, BUT THANK YOU.
Great, however, when you have to be somewhere not the best.
This app is amazing. It’s so affordable to use in Salem, however the reason is it getting two stars because when you have to be somewhere they aren’t considerate that you need to go somewhere. Either you call it 5 mins before or even an hour. The drives do not try to do the best for time. If you don’t have any deadlines on time this app is great, but if you have to be somewhere like work not the best!

Skipper is wonderful saving money and the clock tells you how long before driver gets to you just would be better if they picked up at exact location instead of walking to get picked up
Roll the dice
The only thing going for this service is the price. If you need to be somewhere on time, make sure you plan at least 45 minutes ahead. Also, this service only picks you up at intersections and the 2-3 actual good drivers are overshadowed by the unprofessional and impatient bad drivers that give you less than 2 minutes to get to your pickup point before they drive off. Book this service at your own risk.

I was using this app fine onmy precious phone. Got a new phone, and there's no "login" button when you open the app, just a single button that says "get started". I metered my info anyway, and it obviously says there's already an account with that email address, but it doesn't give me the option to sign in anywhere?!

Unreliable
Good cost, but the drivers frequently show up to the wrong location and it takes anywhere from 30-45 minutes to get a ride. So you just waited an hour for 1 skipper then they leave 30 seconds after going to the wrong location forcing you to wait another 15 minutes. Id look for other ride share options

Pick up is NOT accurate
It’s very frustrating relying on this app to get to places that you need to be on time.
Multiple times the pick up location has changed and I have gone exactly where it is and no driver had shown up, the pick up gets cancelled and there’s no way to communicate in a chat or call the driver.

Great idea! Not enough cars.
Awesome idea, good execution, and super affordable! I just wish there were more skippers on the road. It’s often all booked up or has a long wait time (25-40min). Especially during tourist season!
One issue I do have is skippers dropping off into roads. If I am on the left side, the driver will pull onto the right hand shoulder and open the left hand door into traffic for me. On busy Salem streets, this can be dangerous. I get the impression that they’re instructed to do this by some type of management, but it is concerning considering it is a main transport for students and the disabled here.
