It is difficult to judge whether or not you have done so, with the information you have provided us. If not, we recommend transferring your files this way. However, if you have already tried wired conneciton and the same issue persists, please contact us via sswith.cs@samsung.com with more information, such as screenshots of the app name/icon, type of music file, model name/OS of both devices, etc. so that we may examine the situation to provide better guidance. However, it is difficult to provide guidance based on the description you have provided us. Here are some basic troubleshooting methods: 1. Make sure that you are using the most current version of the app. (iOS: 1.0.15 / Galaxy: 3.7.69.15). 2. Trying to move Messages? We recommend using a USB connection, as this transferring method supports more types of data. Hello, this is the Smart Switch team. When restoring data from an iPhone to a Galaxy, the iOS backup method is used as is. So even if you transfer only certain data (some items such as photos and messages) through Smart Switch, IOS will back up all of your data. Therefore please delete any unused data before back up. Or you can restore data from the iPhone to the Galaxy via iPhone → PC → Galaxy. Even if you are backing up using a PC, it will also perform a full backup. But the capacity of the PC may be slightly better than that of the smartphone. Therefore, we recommend backing up to a PC and then restoring it. You can download and install the Smart Switch PC program from a PC using the following link. It would be a good idea to move the data through a wired connection once again. Also, if you have backed up your data through iTunes on your iPhone PC, you can restore the backup data through Smart Switch PC. This restore data also contains the data of Whatsapp. If you follow the guide and update the content with a review. We will try to make it a better service after checking the content. As of 2026 does not function for text messages
Selecting only 30 days still gives the error not enough space. My messages are 5.1gb total for almost 10 years of texting. I have 60gb free on each device.
iMessage and facetime turned off, cache cleared, signed out of i cloud etc etc.
No matter what it fails at 0.7% if you have messages selected. Very frustrating.
Looking at the app permissions smart switch on ios26 has no access to messaging which is probably why it fails.

Even if you have difficulties, it would be better to make another wired connection and try to move the data. Even if you move data from iPhone to Galaxy multiple times, the data on the receiving device will never be erased or you will have two. Duplicate data is skipped and restored. It would be nice to try moving the data through a wired connection once again.
