The bill of materials shows whole tiles, active cuts, parent/recycled rows, and leftover recipes down to the millimetre — exact piece counts and packing, not a square-metre guess. Fragmentation maps show how each source tile is cut and where offcuts land. THREE-LAYER SLIVER GUARD: ScalarCut handles structural perimeters systematically without falsifying material counts. The engine operates on a default minimum edge profile of 50mm (adjustable 20–100 mm): 1) Silent Protect: When an alternative anchor point clears edge strips above your minimum safety profile, the engine shifts layout origins silently in the background. You get a short “Slivers eliminated” notice and the start point updates. 2) Suggest: If a narrow strip remains, one-tap offers: apply a suggested start, center for symmetry, or try other corners. Grout is never changed by Sliver Guard. 3) Detect & Warn: If complex patterns (such as herringbone around openings) cannot geometrically clear narrow slices, the engine will not forge a clean list. Slices remain on the digital canvas and are explicitly flagged on your layout and BOM as FRAGILE so you can plan for it.
