ScanKit turns paper into a PDF, then gets out of your way. Scanning is free. Exporting is free. Sharing is free. No watermark, at any tier, ever. THE CROP BUTTON PEOPLE KEEP ASKING FOR Tap "Next border in" and the frame snaps inward - tablecloth, then paper, then the printed area. "Back out" walks it back. The crop is stored beside your scan, never burned into it, so you can widen a scan from last month or reset it to the full page any number of times. Before the share sheet opens you see the finished PDF as it will be sent. CLEAN UP A PAGE, AND CHANGE YOUR MIND LATER Greyscale, Sharp or Ink, on one page or all of them at once. Like the crop, the choice is stored beside the scan rather than baked into it, so Original brings the page back exactly as the camera saw it - today, or in two years. SIGN IT Draw your signature once with a finger, then drop it on any page, move it, resize it, or remove it. It is kept as the strokes that drew it rather than a picture of them, so it stays sharp at any size. LOCK IT Give an exported PDF a password and only someone with it can open the file. Standard PDF encryption, applied to the copy you send. ScanKit does not store the password and cannot recover it. TEXT YOU CAN ACTUALLY PASTE Raw or Tidied, one tap apart. Tidied rejoins words broken across a line, reads a two-column page one column at a time, and lifts repeated headers and footers out of the flow without deleting them. Raw is never overwritten. Search covers the text inside your scans, not just their names - free, for everyone. TABLES INTO A SPREADSHEET A price list or statement becomes an editable grid. Tap any cell to see where on the page it came from, and export a CSV that Excel and Numbers both open properly. RECEIPTS Vendor, date, subtotal, tax, total, currency, invoice number - each traceable to a spot on the paper. Anything not found on the page is struck through and left out of the export. TRANSLATION THAT WORKS IN AIRPLANE MODE Apple's on-device translation, iOS 18 and later. The result is stored with the document, searchable, and exportable as facing pages. NOTHING GETS LOST Export everything writes your whole library to any folder in Files as ordinary PDFs plus a manifest, free forever: charging for the way out would be indefensible. NO ACCOUNT, AND NOTHING LEAVES UNLESS YOU ASK No sign-in, no sync. Everything above happens on this device: in Airplane Mode it all still works. Four features are different, and each says so before it runs. Handwriting transcription sends a picture of the one page you tapped. Asking a question sends the text of the few pages ScanKit found on the phone first. Without Apple Intelligence, suggesting a name or reading receipt fields can send that document's text; with it, the same work happens locally and nothing is sent. Before anything is sent, a full screen says exactly what goes and where - a server we rent, then Alibaba Cloud's Qwen service in Beijing, China. Say no and everything else works as before, and Settings lists everything ever sent. TEN FREE AI ACTIONS EVERY MONTH Those four are the only things here that cost money each time they run, so they are the only things with a limit. Everybody gets ten a month, free, shared across all four, with the count shown before you spend one and a reset on the first. SCANKIT PLUS Plus removes that monthly ceiling. It is $2.99 a month, $9.99 a year, or $14.99 once and forever - all three shown plainly, and there is no free trial. A daily ceiling still applies to stop a stolen key running up a bill: 40 handwriting pages, 60 questions, 60 receipt extractions and 80 suggested names a day. There is no bigger tier.
