Great app

We use this app for SAR work so we don’t use it to its full or intended capacity, but it works great for what we need. I like that you can add pictures. I also like that there are programmed option for variables but also allows to add your own since the concept is largely the same but our specific training is a little different. It’s also way more affordable (is you upgrade to pro) than apps designed more specifically to our type of training. The developer is incredibly responsive to any issues.

Nice simple app to keep track of your nose work training and trials.

The app is a simple alternative to paper notes to track your nose work training and trials.

Clunky. Basic features are pay-only (title tracking)

If you have a ton of spare time and NEED to meticulously document the temperature (really), club officials (really), and zenith of the sun (joke, but then again I didn’t have access to all features) for every trial, save the wind speed for every practice run, and like endlessly tapping your phone, here’s your app!

If like the rest of us, you just wanted a quick way to remember what titles you have and what level you need to enter on which element, this is not your app. It’s faster to keep a notebook or lookup your titles every time you’re trying to figure out if you titled.

I work on UIs. I’m relatively good with apps/tech. This app was awful and really difficult to use. This app involves a lot of saving, tapping on what you saved, and then adding more options previously not shown. It’s clunky and confusing. It also requires you to meticulously document each trial-exact date and location, among other fields, are required. So it’s nearly impossible to enter trials from before you downloaded the app if you don’t remember when/where you trialed.

All I wanted was to record which titles/legs we’ve earned, and possibly which ones we’re entered in. After suffering through all the hidden menus required to enter a trial, it ONLY THEN tells you that recording trials is a pro-feature. I don’t mind paying, and this a isn’t asking for a lot, but the interface is infuriating even if it let you just track titles for free (but remember it doesn’t).

Not worth your time, unless you really have a TON of spare time. Seems a bit bait-and-switch to hide the fact that such a basic feature is only available with a purchase.

Response from developer

The only features that require a one time small payment are automatic location determination, weather lookup and title tracking. That helps cover some the cost of my servers needed for the app. I’m not a professional app developer and this isn’t a money making venture. I put in far more time and out of pocket costs than I recoup. I spend much more than I recoup. I built it as someone who competes in Nosework and wanted an app and figured others might want to also. Recording training and trials is not a pro feature and is always free so you are mistaken here. I appreciate the feedback. I’d be happy to hear about things you’d change. Very few fields are required. Yes location is required, but you can put a ? Or unknown in that field if your meticulous paper historical notes don’t have it for your past trials. Unfortunately the hundred or so people who like the app and use it regularly without issue rarely write reviews.
