Slow app and poor PIN sharing

This app has increasingly become slower and slower over the past few months, when locked outside I don’t want to be waiting for the app to try and load for me to be able to unlock my front door. It’s clear that since the last update was 1 year ago this company has put no effort in trying to resolve issues with ongoing iOS updates.
Additionally the sharing PIN feature is poor, I can’t see the PIN ever again once I’ve added it, why can’t I go back to check in case I’ve forgotten it.

Clunky

The app is clunky to use. You have to wake up the door handle by tapping it before it will connect to Bluetooth and do anything. I believe with the wifi bridge it is always on but haven’t tried that.

Also, there are no instructions anywhere that I can find. You’re on your own trying to figure out how to us the app.

For such an expensive lock, I expected better support.

Software lets it down

In theory (and as advertised) this lock and app should function really nicely and allow multiple codes in different time periods to give guests and tradespeople etc access to the door. In reality the app fails to do as requested >80% of the time, either but just saying “operation failed” or not following your settings hence trying to adjust any code takes 5x longer than it should. Developing a properly functioning app would make the hardware so much better to use.

Appalling

Do not download. Every time you try to use the app you have to create a Master code. Or even when have just created one to use the app. So more and more master codes get created that can unlock your door. The most unfriendly app I have used. A shame as the idea of remotely controlling access to your home is good and the lock itself is very good.

Needs a better understanding of the human condition

Mate, I do not want to be prompted to change my master PIN while locked outside being rained on. Since no one uses that the risk of compromise is VERY low and enforcing updates is maddening.

Can’t even use the app to unlock until you do this. The stupid rules around codes not sharing DNA makes it trickier to come up with something on the spot.

FFS when I bought this lock I had no idea I’d be entering into a life long relationship of PIN maintenance and other clownage. What a stupid system.
