You have to re-log in EVERY TIME
This is an inhibitor to resolve notifications or quickly obtain information. This app lacks intuitiveness and could use an overhaul.
Terrible functionality
According to the App Store, this app has had NO updates in 2 years; that does not keep up with schoolsโ ever changing technology or security. However, something changed at some point and now when I try to log in to the app, it gives me three - THREE - login screens before I can actually log in. I no longer get any notifications from the app, despite all of the app and phone settings being set up for same. Weโre forced to use non-district tech to monitor our kidsโ academic progress but it doesnโt even work correctly. Beyond frustrating, and a waste of the districtโs money, which is a waste of taxpayer money. PLEASE FIX THIS.

New login frustrating
I have been using the app for years, but now all of a sudden I cannot log in from the app. Every time I want to open it I have to ok that it uses the browser to login, wait for it to open browser, login there with no option to keep me logged in anymore, and then wait for it to go back to the app. Half the time that glitches out and I have to start over. Now it takes forever just to check something quick. Yet somehow I still get notifications???

Please fix the login, it barely works you have to try 10 times for it to actually work. When I have the stay logged in button on it doesnโt keep me actually logged in. Other then that, itโs pretty good and gives me notifications on my assignments.

When I try to log in to my SchoolTool account, it says that I do not have permission to log in and that I need to contact my school district. My district has been unable to completely solve this problem so far and many students across the district arenโt able to access their accounts because of this.

This app is as bad is blocking cool math games on school chromebook's.

Poor customer service
App kicks you out and has no option to stay logged in. They donโt accept any customer support questions and send you to your school which can only answer login questions and cannot make changes to the app. So the company is happy to collect sales revenue with no support options for parents. Itโs intentional and shameful. Letโs get a product thatโs offered by a company who will stand by it.

Ok but inconsistent be website
Itโs ok. Seems to function ok but the data displayed in the app isnโt constant with what the website shows. For example, some teachers enter m or mi to denote missing work. That shows in the grade column in the website but not in the app. Took months to figure out why non-communicative teachers said school tools was uptodate.

Great for parents and students
An amazing app to use for keeping track of grades, missing assignments, absences, tardies, and can even tell you what class your kid is in a when it starts and ends. There a little problem to it but itโs really easy, useful, helpful, and good for kids. Iโm know what my grades are and what I have missing without even having to ask a teacher about it. You might have a little problems/struggles setting it up but once itโs all set up itโs amazing and then itโs super easy to use it.
