Not sure what the point is
I bought the paid version straight away as the free one appeared to be rubbish. However it only seemed to tell me about tours to buy outside of museum. I’m tech savvy, but the app wasn’t obvious to use and as I was guiding a blind person around the museum, (which is why I got the app) I abandoned it as I didn’t have time to explore properly. Dear App designer, if this app has some purpose other than to tell you about other tours you can buy, please would you add that to an upfront menu.

This is NOT the official science museum app, do not be duped, don’t bother downloading this app, it has no useful information that isn’t behind a paywall
Paid but not working
Disappointed… Looks like a great app with lots of information. However I paid the 2.99 and still nothing comes up. Can’t access any of the “paid for” articles even after I click restore purchases.

And when you pay £2.99, the content is very poor. You have no access to exhibits nor any objects displayed to see. You only have the same information you get on the website, nothing new. Not worth it.
Waste of time
Offers no useful information at all. Doesn’t appear to be endorsed by the museum. Seems like a scam app tbh.

Utter crap
There is literally no reason for this free app to exist. There is no content; everything you press takes you to the same ‘upgrade for £2.99’ page. The only reason I’ve given it a star is because the app store won’t let you post without at least one star. Personally, I give it minus-1 star for just being intentionally unhelpful.

Rubbish, like really rubbish
Don’t waste your time, bandwidth or any more time on this app. Everything is a jump to upgrade. You cannot even see a map.

The other reviewer is totally correct. Apart from a welcome page there is NOTHING in the free version of the app. Basically you have to pay the £2.99 to do anything. I suspect it’s done this way to save the museum fees that they may incur from the App Store if they did not have a ‘free’ version.
Basically the free paper guide as a PDF
I was expecting some kind of added experience from this app, even a basic audio component. This is basically a collection of PDFs that sound like they’re being read by Siri. Disappointing.

Useless
The free app constantly links you to upgrade for any useful information, and seems simply to encourage you to upgrade at a cost. Very surprised at such a respected institution being connected to this.

Just A Money Grab
If this app developer really wants to provide a service to users they would eliminate the purchase option (which constantly pops up), provide more information on the exhibits and add an interactive element that shows your location in the museum do you can easily navigate. Looking forward, add some VR that provides info on whatever you are looking at. That would be a worthwhile in-app purchase.

Sadly it’s true, you don’t get anything on the app unless you pay £2.99. Personally I wouldn’t bother.
Rubbish!
This app has no content, just a pop up asking you to upgrade to the £2.99 version. Shame on you Science Museum! The Natural History Museum’s app is free and actually helps you to get the best out of your visit. Why can’t this app be the same?
Why do this?
Says it’s free but it’s not. Don’t waste your time, go next door to the natural history museum where their app works really well and is actually free.
