What's New in ScoliosisApp
6.0
August 31, 2026
Version 6 combines the original ScoliosisApp analysis workflow with guided capture, expanded mesh processing and additional research-review tools. NEW CAPTURE AND INSPECTION - Capture measured LiDAR/RGB-D back surfaces directly on supported iPhone/iPad devices; third-party scanning is now optional. - Guided Apple Vision recognition, selectable MediaPipe options and manual region fallback. - Spine Lock, bounded live mesh preview and protected Final Capture. EXPANDED ANALYSIS - Technical measurement and capture-quality indicators, with geometry, PCA and calibration-domain warnings. - Exploratory Candidate Cobb, OSAI-R static analysis and dOSAI neutral/bending comparisons. - Same-subject comparison tools with source/session checks and separate live, imported and sample analysis sources. MORE IMPORT AND EXPORT OPTIONS - USD-family import alongside the original STL workflow. - Unit correction, PCA orientation, cropping, component selection, depth trimming, optional smoothing and reprocessing. - Explicit imported-source activation, processed-mesh inspection and expanded mesh, measurement and quality-report exports. - An in-app "What's New Since 1.0" comparison. PRESERVED AND CORRECTED The bundled Case 29 sample, STL analysis, PCA inspection, AI1/AI2/AI3, weighted AIglobal, TXT reporting and four original regression routes remain available. AI1 normalization is corrected; results may differ from version 1. Projected Cobb retains the original AIglobal regression and is a surface-derived estimate. Requires iOS/iPadOS 26.0 or later. Live metric capture requires compatible ARKit scene-depth hardware. Sample and compatible imported-file analysis remain available without LiDAR. These features provide investigational surface information, not diagnosis, validated screening or treatment guidance. Quality scores are not diagnostic confidence. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
