Very basic app and no longer working with IOS 18.7.9

Login nor search buttons work (iPhone 10). Why can’t it remember login details?

It’s great, except…

It doesn’t remember you at all so you have to log back in EVERY time you reopen it, even if you come out of it to get your card details from another app. It also forget your previous tickets you’ve purchased. The purchase history is always empty, even straight after purchasing a ticket. It gives you no help finding the correct stop. It has no way to locate a stop using a map. It’s a pretty lame excuse of an app coded by, well, it would be rude to call them here what I am thinking. AI would have done a better job of creating it and that’s pretty bad. Work on the UX and UI with some better coders.

Useless

Tracker showed the outbound bus stuck in the previous town running 40 mins late. Luckily looked further down at the map and it was only 5 minutes late. Tried to book a new return bus. Put in all the details but the search button didn’t work. IOS26

Pointless App

App states it’s importing a ticket but literally nothing happens apart from the spinning wheel of wasting time. Don’t bother downloading.

Date selection doesn’t work

When you try to add the date of the return journey (being the same date as outward) the screen cuts off the latter half of the month making it impossible to select the return date

How bad can it get

Calendar useless, and it stops there unusable

Ok but

The app is good but if lacks biometrics like Face ID because at the moment we have to use the password every time which is very inconvenient

Easily the worst app ever!

When I use the Scotrail app I have my tickets in 2-3 minutes. I never know how long it’s going to take me to get Citylink tickets. It logs me out for reasons I cannot understand (while Scotrail keeps me logged in) and despite the fact I use the Citylink app once a week, it is impossible to navigate to the destinations and times I travel on the first attempt. Then it logs me out and makes me start over. Shouldn’t BUY MY TICKET be on the home page? Get your act together, Citylink!

Disappointed

This updated version doesn’t appear to store purchased tickets with the QR code - either need to add to Apple wallet or search emails. You also can’t cancel tickets from the app either. Not an improvement.

Dreadful

Don’t even know why they bother, keeps logging out. Very non user friendly. A bit like their services. Actually using their competitor Ember more and more, unlike Citylink both their website and services are much more user friendly.

Just use the website

The app has limited functionality and is not easier to use than the website. I used it to store my tickets but they disappeared before I could use them, so I had to use my email confirmation regardless.

Please let me track buses from your app again

Tracker is not working with new update on my phone, not sure why. It is a good app that I rely on please make it work again.

Works surprisingly well

For those outside the UK having problems buying tickets in the app, try deleting your phone number from your profile and just take delivery via email. The phone number field was not formatted to accept my US number and there was not enough space for my country code plus number. Even though I was not selecting SMS delivery, I was not able to compete a purchase with my US phone number in the profile. Once I deleted my phone number from my profile everything worked perfectly. I made several purchases using Apple Pay with no problems at all. Route planning and bus selection was straightforward and simple.

Rubbish

I tried 4 times to book tickets and it fails every time. Tried to reset my password. That doesn’t work either.

Crud

The app simply does not work. After a recent update you simply cannot log in due to too many redirects.

Crashes Everytime

I’m a little bit tired of the updates to be honest with you because I’m pretty sure they’re not listening to the people who have this app when you type in a destination you then select the time and the price the app immediately quits, it’s impossible to fix. I’ve tried it on multiple devices and I’ve contacted them previously. It is unusable.

Terrible

Can’t buy tickets, glitches everytime I do. Terrible App and definitely puts me off using citylink.

Truly awful!

I don’t even know where to begin with this. You’d think a coach company as large as Citylink would want to have an app that reflects this. The app is an absolute embarrassment. From difficulty using it to purchase tickets to being unable to import previously purchased tickets or being able to amend them. It feels like it was thrown together in an afternoon. Given it’s amateurish look, I certainly won’t be trusting the app with my main credit card.

Frustrating experience

Keeps logging me out and giving errors while trying to book tickets. From other reviews it seems this has been ongoing for a long time.

Dreadful Communication

Service is great till something goes wrong, then your left in the dark or have to go through death by a thousand cuts updates!
Awful, could communicate a lot better. The help button on the App is embarrassingly poor.
