Very expensive and with no essentials included
You pay so much for a good but still honestly very old and low quality (by modern standards) audio recording, and then they still want so much on annual basis for the most simple essential functions!? That’s not right in my opinion including the fact that it’s not explicitly shown that that’s the case before buying. Disappointed honestly.. You pay a lot for the audio but then they still want to charge more and more money from you just to use it normally like loop over a chapter… sad, very disappointing..

Awesome App!
I’ve been using the Scourby Bible app for several years now, on both iPhone and Macbook. It’s been pretty much perfect, except after the latest MacOS update, sometime before 31 May 2026, the audio on the Macbook version will now occasionally stop and I’ll have to restart the app.
I am glad the app still works, but hopefully this isn’t a sign that it will stop working anytime soon.
Thanks to the devs for making this, probably the most necessary of apps!

Odd sounds
I have always loved Mr. Scourby reading the JJV, but I am not sure what is up with the faint voices talking in the background that I heard in Luke chapter 12.

Love the app but
I have used this app every day for six years now and love being able to listen to Scourby read the Bible to me. However, my purchase was to be a one time purchase and and every feature worked for a year or two but then the only feature that would work was the reader and all the extras are ridiculously high. I am thankful the reader still works.

This audio version gives me nostalgia
This audio version gives me nostalgia when I was a little boy. My mom listened to this in the background while I was very little so when I listen to it, it gives me memories of my early childhood my mother, and he is also an excellent reader.
