Because Scout continuously monitors Facebook Marketplace on your behalf it has high ongoing operating costs. This is also outlined in the App Store description. Hi, This isn’t accurate. Scout does not give worse results after you subscribe, and it cannot “miss” listings that appear in Facebook search. The app is pulling from the exact same Marketplace results. If a listing appears to be missing, it’s almost always due to filters on the alert (such as required keywords, price limits, categories, or location radius) excluding it. Hi there, we understand delays can be frustrating. As explained in the app and our FAQ, we can only notify you once a listing becomes publicly searchable on Facebook. Sellers often post items well before Facebook makes them appear in search due to review and caching. We mirror Facebook’s search results exactly, if it’s not visible there yet, it’s not visible to us. The time shown reflects when the seller created the listing, not when it became searchable, which is usually where the confusion comes from. Hi, this is not accurate. We do not send alerts 15 hours late. We only notify users about newly searchable listings, and our metrics show instant alerts are typically delivered within minutes. If you are seeing older listings in the preview, those are example search results, not new alerts. If you are experiencing a specific issue, please contact us so we can review it directly. Pretty delayed. It may be useful in a market where there’s zero competition, but it’s expensive for how slow it is.

We can also see you’ve restarted your subscription, and we appreciate you continuing to use Scout. We monitor listings around the clock and notify you within minutes of them going live, giving you the best chance to contact the seller first. Providing this level of speed and reliability requires ongoing server costs, which is why subscriptions are necessary, though we keep pricing as low as possible.
