Common Harley. Fix this. This thing is so buggy that it takes away the enjoyment of auto tuning. I am doing everything required: turn my Infocenter off, turn Bluetooth off on the bike…it still gets stuck every time. It takes multiple tries so get into auto tune session. Also, speedometer doesn’t work which is dangerous. I understand the rider aid being off but speedometer is important. I paid almost $500 for this thing. I would expect for it to work.

Garbage
Worst 400 dollars I’ve ever spent. Won’t connect, and when it does I get a litany of errors. Now it can’t read my VIN. Time for a PV4!

Absolute Trash
The inconsistencies you will have in connectivity will frustrate you beyond belief.
Just take it in and have your system tuned or buy a better tuner.

App is slow and cuts in and out
App is slow with Bluetooth connection and cuts in and out so often I just shut it off, even with a good wifi connection & Bluetooth and with bike sitting in my house garage then tuning they say a couple minutes ha ! I would start the download process for the tune and have walk away keeping everything in close proximity and return after 30 minutes with out it being completely done , tried deleting app reinstalling, rebooting , at that point I’m frustrated and shut everything down ! Waste of money if you ask me !

Works ok
As far as simple tuning it works. Can be a little glitchy. It for sure works better on iPhone (as does most everything on Harley I’m finding).
Decent app
Overall it works well. I was able to tune my bike very quickly and everything went very smoothly. The custom gauge screen is very nice to have as my bike is a soft standard and has limited gauges. The app UI is a little dated and not the best looking, but it does the job just fine.
Absolutely nothing positive to say
Well on a new touring bike one have to turn off infotainment just to be able to connect to the tuner but even when you connect it can’t do basic functions like read error codes; when you try you just greeted with a pop up “something went wrong”. Once the warranty is up SEPST with that app goes to garbage bin.

Works as intended but not dumb people friendly

It is very buggy. Hard to connect with error messages without any explanations. It cuts in the middle of operations and it does not remember where you were, so it is a full restart every time. Absolutely not intuitive to use. Even with the latest update it is pretty useless. Nothing can be done in the app without being connected to the BCI.

Clunky Software and Unstable Bluetooth

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after owning and using the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Street Tuner for over two years, I cannot recommend this product.
I work in IT professionally and have extensive experience troubleshooting hardware, software, Bluetooth connectivity, and firmware-related issues. Even with that background, this tuner has been one of the most frustrating Harley-Davidson products I have ever used.
The biggest issue is Smart Tune via the iPhone app. The Bluetooth connection is unreliable, pairing frequently fails, and the app regularly loses connection during tuning sessions. At times the BCI reports as connected in iOS while the Harley app simultaneously reports that it is not paired to the motorcycle. Firmware updates, pairing resets, app reinstalls, and network resets do not consistently resolve the issue.
The PC software works more reliably over USB, but Smart Tune functionality depends heavily on the mobile app staying connected over Bluetooth. Unfortunately, that part of the system feels unfinished and unreliable. For a premium-priced tuning solution from Harley-Davidson, this should work far more consistently.
The tuning ecosystem also feels outdated and overly complicated:
* separate PC and mobile workflows
* confusing firmware/update procedures
* poor Bluetooth recovery behavior
* limited troubleshooting guidance
* unreliable auto reconnect functionality
When it does work, the tuner can produce decent results. The problem is getting it to work consistently enough to trust it.
For a modern EFI tuner in this price range, I expected a polished experience. Instead, it feels clunky, fragile, and overly dependent on unstable Bluetooth communication.
I genuinely wanted to like this product, but after two years of dealing with these issues, I would not purchase it again and cannot recommend it to other riders looking for a dependable tuning solution.

There is no reason an interface should be that clunky in 2026.
Crash City
This thing crashes out every time I try to connect to bluetooth for the pro street tuner. And the odd chance it does decide to connect, the second you hit “next” it loses connection and crashes out again. I expect more from one of the oldest motorcycle brands in the world. I didn’t have a single expectation before using this, and now I know what the LOWEST possible standard for a tuning app is. In fact screaming the word “TUNE!” at your bikes ECM will do a better job than this piece of junk. Don’t even waste your time. Trust me. Negative stars.

One of the worst tunes I’ve ever used. This tune caused my bike not to start and now I have to tow it to the dealer and hope it doesn’t cost me a fortune. I will definitely use Vance and Hines in the future. Never had an issue with it
Trash, and no help from the MoCo
Live tune works ok. Good luck getting one to actually download though. Good luck viewing your codes. Every time I try, I get an error message and the app crashes. Tried calling the MoVo and got a robot. FIX THIS TRASH, HARLEY.

Fix the Bluetooth connection, it fails more than it works. Fix that and the app is ok but as a tech this cost is time.
