Does not find tv and cannot insert code

I’m at a hotel experiencing my first screen mirror tv, and was originally using the browser and manually typing a code. However any time I would enter the code into my phone the code on the tv would change and my phone would get a pop up failed to connect ensure your device is connected to the wifi. So I made sure I was connected to the wifi and after multiple attempts at that I decided to download this app. In the app there’s no place to insert a code so I press find tv and it never locates the tv. If you want to watch something your much better off watching it on your phone and not downloading this app.
