I’m not a huge fan of everything turning into a subscription service, I would rather just buy an app outright for a few bucks or so and then have it forever. I have been trying this app again without having the subscription or the trial subscription and it seems like it works alright. There’s a decent amount of latency when it is on the tv, but it was able to detect the couple of devices on my network that were compatible and the connection was pretty easy to get working and I didn’t have to install any additional apps on my android tv.
I really like the smart tv remote controller app Mando that you have a lot. It just works right away without having to summon Cthulhu.

Works well
Downloaded as in Spain on hols, and works on the hotel room TV - didn’t expect it to work but simply mirrors everything on the phone screen. Better than apple screen mirroring which is always so frustrating.
