FANTASTIC!
This has been a game changer for us as a family. It really does have every feature you could wish for, it is incredibly easy to use (as a parent and as a child), and everyone can see and understand and manage screentime without fights or whining. I’m not easily impressed, but this app really is amazing. I tried Bark (far too complicated to configure), Qustodio (didn’t do what it said and they ended up refunding me) and I am delighted to have found Screencoach.

Less nagging, more chores done, and less mindless screen time!
This app is fantastic. It takes some effort to get it set up and customized, at first, but it’s worth it! My daughter, who is 6, spent a ton of time today doing chores and tasks all on her own to earn tokens! She really got on a roll, and was very happy with her progress. There is much less nagging, much more harmony, and less mindless screen time in our household since we got this app. Customer support is really helpful and responsive, as well. Highly recommend!

EVERY PARENT NEEDS
This app is so amazing and work every penny! It has gotten our son to be more independent and self sufficient. He is excited to do chores, learning new things, and staying consistent with habits. Plus it helps so much to balance his screen time and reality. I would recommend to EVERYONE
pretty good as a kid
im a child user and this works really well for me and my family. we used to use another similar type of app, but it went down sometime around covid. this showed up at a perfect time when we were getting sick of regular parental controls. theres definitely some things that could be fixed, but its great nonetheless

Having tried many different ones, this one is the best. They offer a leading 30 day trial unlike the others which can vary 3 days to 14 days.
Need this for my teen 14 that has fallen into the screens, screens, more screens trap, unaware of how long he’s actually using them.
The session reports avoid the arguments of how long, and the ability to incentivise good behaviour of chores, music practice etc is great. The flexibility to apply more screen time, money etc to tasks is great, along with the ability to block everything if certain tasks aren’t completed on time is also fantastic.

I have tried many behavioral modification apps but so far this one seems to be really effective for my child. Really happy with it!
Nothing else like it!
Since using ScreenCoach, our daughter spends far less time on her iPad and we rarely argue about it anymore. She actually enjoys doing other activities to earn her free screen time, like helping around the house or playing outside. It’s taken the stress out of managing devices and turned it into something positive and fun for all of us. Highly recommend this app to any parent who’s tired of daily screen time battles!

This is by far the best parental control app.
ScreenCoach strikes a great balance between having an exhaustive set of features that allow you to configure for your precise families needs, with a relatively simple user interface and workflow.
If you find it at all complex, I’d encourage you to stick with it and invest time to learning the in’s and out’s, as it’s well worth your time.
If you opt for a simpler app, you’ll be lacking and left wanting configurations or options it doesn’t have.
Invest your time into this, it won’t let you down.
Lastly, their support is unparalleled. Any question I’ve had has been answered promptly.

Absolutely love Screencoach!
I used Screen Coach afew years ago and liked where it was heading but had some issues with it so have spent the last couple of years trying other screen time apps. They all had their issues and I had ended up using 3 different apps to manage screentime, chores and pocket money. I thought I would give Screencoach another try and I am glad I did! This app has overnight changed my kids behaviour could not recommend highly enough!

Wow, an absolute game changer in Parental Controls!
We have a fairy young boy who has become addicted to screens. All his attention went to electronics, and gradually shifting all his priorities towards them. We tried few mainstream Parental Control software from
big tech vendors as well as some leading 3rd party ones. The trouble is that all of them aren’t fixing the root problem. Yes, they prevent excessive usage, at a cost of an angry child. You say that these are system limits, but the kids know who set them, and blame you. This software really changes the dynamics, it really goes from: “we set you a limit” to “you control the limits, and can earn your screen time” (within reason). Suddenly the little guy was incentivized to behave well, pick up chores, spend some quality non-screen time for other forms of entertainment. The difference is MIND BLOWING! He feels trusted (we allow him skip approval for most of the chores, and periodically check if he is not abusing the system), he values the tokens (the currency used to extend screentime) and is more careful for not using them mindlessly. He also feels in control, rewarded while being “tricked” into doing chores, and behaving well. I don’t know how this software is not the mainstream; this is so much better concept to what else is around. It is also extremely customizable, better than everything else I used. It does NOT offer web blocking or filtering yet, but I’ve spoken to their development lead (their support is SUPER responsive) and they have it on their agenda. So, if the blocking and immature content filtering is what you want, this software is not it yet, but for the general screen time management + behaviour management this app is GOLD.

ScreenCoach is making my life better!
Every weekend I used to fight with my children all day to complete their assigned chores. The two full days I had with them on the weekend were filled constant battles and disciplines, I felt like my overall relationship with my children was suffering. Something needed to change.
With ScreenCoach, I was able to create a master chore list and assign tokens (screen time) based on the intensity of the chores. I allow them an hour of free time, but after it is up, they have to complete chores to play their games. I love that it works across devices so I can enforce the screen time restrictions on both my son’s computer and his phone.
The app allows children to earn bonuses for things like “done with out being asked” and “done with a good attitude”, so now they try their best to receive these bonuses. These bonuses helped my daughter go from whining about having to clean her guinea pig cage for hours, to her having it done before I’ve even finished my morning coffee.
While this app did take a while to set up and get used to, the creator anticipated every question with helpful step by step guides, so I was able to figure everything out quickly.
I highly recommend this app!

Best screen time app
I was looking for an app that allowed my kids to earn extra screen time by doing chores around the house, reading books, etc. I also wanted very specific control over how screen time was used. ScreenCoach was the only app I could find that claimed to do everything I wanted. The app far exceeded my expectations.
ScreenCoach uses modes to apply the rules you want to the apps you want. Their default options are reasonable enough to get you started, but the level of customization avaliable is amazing! They also have quick-start learning cards to help you learn the app.
To top off an excellent app, ScreenCoach’s technical support has been outstanding - so much better than any other app support I’ve contacted.
My kids are using their screens within our rules with minimal complaining, and I’ve reduced my own screen time to just over an hour a day!

Fantastic potential
I have had this app for a week now and I am very happy. The capability is excellent however the user interface is a little challenging. Once you work it out, it is brilliant. The customer support is next level. Any questions are answered immediately with friendly support staff. Whilst refinements need to be made, this app is already a game changer in my house so 5 stars.

After just one day of installing this app, my two kids have swung into household chores to earn tokens without any coercing or bribery. It is unbelievable how well they have accepted the new rules and engaged to participate. Believe me when I say it is worth every cent.
The app I have been waiting for!
This is the app I have been searching for ever since we bought our children iPads. We had no idea what kind of struggle we would be facing. Screen Coach is helping us regain some of the control we thought we had lost.
I really wanted to like it
I thought I had finally found the app I was looking for. Something that can help me manage kids’ screen time while allowing kids to earn time for chores or whatever I designated. And it does all this, but it’s so, so complicated. It was not user friendly at all and I could never quite get the hang of it, so I canceled after a month. To the developer’s credit, they offered to help me 1:1 and helped me cancel easily, but I just needed something more user-friendly. I’ll keep checking back in the hopes it becomes less clunky over time.

Great app to reward kids screen time for chores!
I love the Screencoach app. It does have a learning curve, but the tutorials are helpful. The idea of rewarding money and additional screen time time as tasks are completed is amazing. I would like to see the following options. I'll update my review as I think of more suggestions.
1) Widget for the parents and kids to add to home screen to approve and submit completed tasks, and select modes.
2) Differentiate between the parents and child's account. Why is the Parent's account tracked (gems, tokens, usage time, etc.) similiar to the child's account.?
3) Under child's account, add an area to display additional tasks (separate from rewuired routine or tasks) that allows the child to chose from for extra tokens/gems. For example: read 20 mins, ride a bike, etc.
