Letās get straight to it: this app is so well designed, it practically deserves a standing ovation. š Sleek interface, intuitive layout, and zero time wasted fumbling through menus. Itās like the iPhone of line rehearsalābut without the monthly payment plan. š
Ease of use? Off the charts. I opened the app, uploaded my script, and boomārehearsal magic. You can record, highlight, listen back, and run scenes solo like a one-person Broadway show. Itās like having your own rehearsal assistant who never calls in sick or eats the last donut. š©š¤
And speaking of scene partners, letās talk about the developerābecause WOW. I had a small question (okay, maybe I pushed a wrong button in a pre-coffee haze āļø), and the response was fast, friendly, and actually helpful. Itās rare these days to feel like thereās a real human on the other endābut with Script Buddy, the dev is basically your tech-savvy rehearsal BFF. š

LOVE IT if Apple will Fix the PDF Script Bug

I appreciate your patience regarding the PDF issue, which, as noted in the app, is related to a bug in Appleās framework. Iāve reported this to Apple and am hopeful for a resolution soon. In the meantime, Iām continuing to explore any possible workarounds. Your support means the world to meāthank you for hanging in there! Import script, select your character, tell it if you want it to read your lines or not, then you can press play and learn.
If the dev decides to make money from this, then I hope there is a lifetime license for a reasonable price, it seems some devs want a free lunch. I get there are some ongoing costs when keeping an app up to date, but paying every month just for a text ready is greed, paying over 100 for essentially something the iPhone can already do except recognise different characters in a script (when the script is in the correct format) the iPhone also canāt skip saying your lines like these script rehearsal apps can, and I just hope the dev doesnāt go the subscription route with this. Itās a great app, got an error with pdf at the moment, but itās free and it works great when you import your text document script. Donāt know if you can import pages documents yet but if you canāt then would like that feature, would also like multiple voices you can elect for each character. This is on par with the paid subscription apps, also wouldnāt mind if there were ads to keep it free, but if that were the case, Iād much rather pay for ad free. A one off charge, I think Ā£9.99 would be reasonable, though these are unique apps and donāt have millions of people after them, so if the dev did need to charge a little more I would consider it, so long as itās a one off charge and not a subscription.
This app is PERFECT!

I have replied to your feedback email you have sent us: if you could mail us a copy of the pdf file in question we will have a look and will help with the issue so that you can start rehearsing asap. We would love to see you becoming a happy Script Buddy user! Technical background: Scripts typically start with a title page that contains at least a title line. If there is no tile page Script Buddy should detect that and import the script without issues. You could add a tile page as first page to your pdf and it should import into Script Buddy correctly. Looking forward to helping you successfully importing your pdf script into Script Buddy.
