Scriptation
Since the updates it’s just got better and better and it has streamlined our script breakdowns and other prep. The workshops are incredibly helpful and informative and the online support is amazing. I would highly recommend it.

Industry standard for a reason

Thanks so much for the great review! Really glad the app is earning its keep in your workflow, and our support team will be thrilled to see that. Lots more coming down the pipeline!
Waste of money

We're sorry to hear Scriptation fell short for you. If it's the voices that felt unnatural, those are likely the standard on-device voices. Playback also includes AI voices that are much more realistic and emotive, and they're worth a try. And if cost is the concern, reach out via Settings > Contact Us and we'll see what we can do.
Very pleasing first impressions
Playback Doesn't Work
the only reason I got this app is to listen to my screenplay.
Needs to be fixed
Audio never loaded
Character voice quality AWFUL
Not great for auditions

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We’re actively working to improve Scriptation for actors, especially around auditions. You’re right that many audition sides are modified before they get to you in ways that can make them harder for any PDF annotation app to read properly. Sometimes extra text or graphics are added in the margins, and sometimes the PDF is flattened as a “security” setting, which removes the readable text layer apps rely on. We’re working through options on our end to make these files more usable in Scriptation. But ultimately, the best fix is for casting offices and distributors to send non-flattened PDFs that don’t get in the way of an actor’s process. We’d recommend letting Breakdown Services, or any casting distributor sending flattened sides, know that this creates real workflow issues for actors, which we’re sure is not their intent.
