I was playing red man and I am on the B Drilla mission (spoilers ahead) It got to the part where we contact vikram about if Bradley’s dead body matches the prints or other dna of the crime scene. He said no and now there is nothing to do. I can’t text anyone further, investigate, or interrogate anyone.

this game is using ai
i was enjoying this game, but i finished the first two dead man’s phone series and started on the miniseries and noticed a pretty severe drop in the quality of the game. it’s very evident that they have begun using ai instead of using real actors for their stories. generative ai is not only very detrimental to the environment, it also steals jobs and artwork from real artists. not to mention that it has completely ruined the quality of the stories due to the fact that their ai generated characters have little to no personality and the characters in the “interrogations” look like something out of a nightmare. i truly enjoyed the first two dead man’s phone series, but it is incredibly disappointing to see the use of generative ai replace real actors. it’s especially disappointing considering the dead man’s phone series highlights the abuse of black people and sex workers, as well as homophobia, islamophobia, and more. i would hope that a team creating storylines highlighting these things would consider the repercussions of generative ai and avoid using it. ai is also a massive risk for women and others due to the rising rate of deepfakes creating non-consensual pornography. the more you use generative ai, the more realistic it becomes, and it makes the world much more unsafe for women and others. i have seen too many instances of people using generative ai to prey on women and create non-consensual pornography of them using photos they posted where they were fully clothed. these are only a few repercussions of ai usage, but there are many more including the implementation of it in government systems that is only adding to the rates of racial profiling and many other things. i would encourage the team behind this game to thoroughly research the detrimental effects of generative ai and reconsider using it.

It’s great until you make a lot of progress and the game just gets stuck with no way to fix the issue. Very unique game with cool storylines. Wish that there were more case episodes. And I wish there was a way to unfreeze the game without losing progress.

The game itself is very good but it doesn’t have the version in other languages any more which makes the game more difficult for those who don’t speak English

This app is an absolute scam. I purchased a pack of gems and the payment showed as successful on my end, only for the app itself to say “payment failed.” I then checked my purchase history and the money has been taken, yet I never received any gems. Absolutely ridiculous. SCAM.
It won’t disappoint
I started playing about a week ago, someone on a social media platform recommended that people play. I saw that it didn’t have many reviews so I was skeptical at first but it did NOT disappoint at all. It’s a really great game. I do have to say, they make you wait for inelegance/evidence for an insane amount of time and you run out of coins faster than anything… with no really big gain of coins after each mission. I would highly recommend this game just have to have patience.

AI Slop
I used to loved this game. Played Redman and Unmasked ages ago and adored them. Came back to play again and even spent money to get through them quicker. Unfortunately, the newest story, God’s Town, is absolutely unplayable thanks to the use of AI. What I loved about Redman and Unmasked was how human and real it all felt, the photos and the characters really showed personality. Sadly, every single image in God’s Town is hideous AI nonsense. The main characters’ faces change in every photo, Cal and June have different features in literally every single image. The proportions are off putting because of how wrong they are, and the hands are an awful mishmash of AI nonsense. It’s absolutely ruined the immersion of this game for me, which is a massive shame.

Abandoned Game.
This was an awesome game, until the developers abandoned it and completely ghosted the community/fans with no explanation at all. Very sad. No support, no updates, no communication. We at least deserve an explanation. Last thing they said was nearly a year ago, claiming more updates were coming. Did the whole team drop off the face of the earth? I doubt it. Really frustrating when developers do this. There’s no reason they couldn’t AT LEAST let the fans know what’s going on. Their Discord has new members joining still, excited about the game and asking about updates just to be told by other disappointed players that it’s been abandoned and none of us have heard anything from the developers in a YEAR. Ridiculous. I loved this game and there’s several unfinished stories that myself and others were into and looking forward to more stories and gameplay.

Great game, far too long a wait
The game is actually amazing and really makes you feel like you’re a detective and it’s so interactive with some really great storylines, particularly the dead man’s phone: redman game is my favourite although I have noticed along with all the other games that there are that you have to wait anywhere between 5-24 hours between certain episodes for certain “evidence” to load or before you can actually play an episode again after only playing it for like 10-15 mins which in my opinion is far far too long and eventually puts you off wanting to even play it anymore, as you can’t even do something else in the game while you’re waiting, unless you use you’re “gems or coins” to take a couple hours away from the 24 hours which is a bit ridiculous as you end up having to pay for more gems just to unlock it or wait the full time, which is sad as I enjoy playing the game but I don’t have time to wait 3+ hours just to play for another couple of mins, please reduce the wait time at least as it’s quite frustrating as the game is worth playing but not worth that wait.

Was fun but now cheapened by over use of AI
I’d give Scriptic more stars if it continued to employ live actors for both live sequences and photos. The AI is so obvious and jarring it cheapens the whole experience. Do better.
The best game
I’m not one to leave reviews, even on games I like- but this game is an exception. It’s a choose your own adventure and the outcome of the episode is determined by the choices you make. There’s no other game like this on the market and it’s really addictive. The episodes will have like 8-24hour tasks that lock you from playing the episode for that time, unless you pay gems, coins or watch ads. It’s great that you can watch ads because I’m a freeloader.
