DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP
I downloaded the app, hoping to could offer more ways for me to engage in reading scripture. It was a no go from the start. Not much to engage it at all, I can just continue to use the free Bible app I already have. That’s not the worst part though! I forgot about the subscription and the day after I saw the charge, I emailed for a refund and stated I wanted to unsubscribe. I received an automated email stating that they couldn’t refund any money and they couldn’t stop the subscription for me. I received instructions to do so myself but THEY NEVER SENT THE LINK TO MY EMAIL! I tried so many times, I thought I’d send another email for support… No Response. At this point I’m peeved because it’s getting close to the date for the next charge. I’m still trying to unsubscribe using the directions, to no avail. I emailed again and informed them I’d be reporting this as fraud since I tried to deal with it from them but they didn’t give me my money back. I’m so annoyed. Don’t waste your time and possibly your money like I did. It’s not worth any hassle. I really wish I could rate this a negative star.

Seriously?? A subscription??
You can’t access the content until you pay for a monthly subscription. The Bible is free for a reason. I understand it took a lot of time to make something like this but you can’t lock the Christian faith behind a paywall. Also apparently it’s really hard to cancel the subscription but I can’t confirm myself because I won’t be paying it. And on top of this apparently they use ai generated studies which is absolutely ridiculous ai hallucinates and uses itself as a source. Imagine paying money to read ai slop.

Great app. Easy to use. Fantastic User Experience and User interface. Has a super minimal, clean look. Really enjoy the swipe method to read.
Can’t share subscription
Love this app and the concept but I’d love to share my subscription with my family plan especially if I had someone I was trying to provide this app too that didn’t read the Bible that’s on my plan because isn’t that the goal? Share the word? If someone isn’t in the faith or struggling wouldn’t it make sense to have the option to share your subscription?

Seriously, a Blessing!!!
While I love the concept of replacing doom scrolling with scripture scrolling, my favorite feature of this app, so far, is the “Deeper Study”. It’s like carrying a giant Bible commentary in my back pocket. I have tried to read Revelation so many times and quit because I couldn’t comprehend what I needed to. This app breaks it down verse by verse and gives me insight into Biblical times, theology, and how it applies to me today. I am almost through Revelation and actually grasping the concepts! The subscription is worth every penny and then some!

Great concept but caution
So I downloaded the free trial. The concept of scrolling through Bible verses instead of other things(social media, shopping sites etc) is a great concept. But on the deeper study part, it gets a bit dicey for me. No sited works for the deeper meaning so AI generated which could be the culmination of many sited works in a condensed paragraph. But what sited works did this come from specifically? I also found some of the deeper study to be generalized and vague. It’s more like, “this was God’s law for his people….so it should be applied to today’s Christian.” But it doesn’t get deep on how. And I know it’s for scrolling so maybe the reason for the condensed deeper study. So I don’t think this app means to mislead…it just opens up a gap for the individual to interpret it how they see it which can lead to conforming God’s word to you instead of you being transformed by Gods Word. So the scrolling of the bible verses is great but I would not rely on it for the deeper dive into the scriptures.

For God or for Profit?
they say they want to get you addicted to the bible, instead of tiktok, but they put the bible behind a paywall. they know the reason why tiktok works is because it’s endless, so they put that feature behind the £30 paywall. I would understand asking for donations but a subscription to simply be able to scroll for longer than 10 chapters or something? the whole thing icked me out.

More personalizable settings would be great, more Bible versions would be much appreciated (like the ESV), and couples or family discounted memberships should be an option.

Pay to Read My Bible
Why should I have to pay to pay to read the most important book in my life. I'll read my paperback Bible, or use the YouVersion app for free.
Swiping
I originally didn’t like how some of the passages got cut off, which has been fixed by making it so you have to swipe sideways multiple times to read the whole verse. This is better, but makes each passage seem less continuous.

“The word of god” (wait for it) .. for $4.99/mo or $29.99 a year. Just another predatory money grab.

When I opened the app for the first time it forced to pay $30 a year. The bible should be free and there at least be a free version to this app. Everyone should be able to see gods word not just those who can afford it. I am very confused on this company’s mission vs youverisons whose is very clear to provide a free app to everyone. I am very disappointed in this app.

Felt scammed off rip
Before I could even get into the app it’s asking me to upgrade to a premium version of the app. Trying to put me on a subscription, this is what the world has come to. Why can’t we just see something cool like this and not have to pay to use. This is Christian based on top of it all. Very poor representation of the religion.
