A big fan of this work in progress

I love this app! The developer is clearly working very hard on this and I use it a lot. That being said, the multiple choice can present some challenges on here for me in terms of memorizing the beginning of the answer/question and it would be really cool to see some short answer or jeopardy style questions to facilitate some deeper learning (maybe thats just me though 😂) Theres a good range of topics that already have questions decks and you can import your own too! I was a little bummed that I no longer saw NCLEX questions but otherwise fantastic so far. I pay for premium and feel its worth the (quite low) cost :)

Helping the doomscrolling

So happy I found this. It is really just what you need to help you stop doomscrolling and actually think about your goals and get back to studying.

Paywall???

After about a week, the app suddenly limited me to one puzzle per hour and locked me out completely, I couldn’t even leave the payment screen to use the rest of the app. This wasn’t mentioned when I downloaded it. I understand needing to monetize, but springing a hard paywall on users with no warning, and trapping them on the payment screen with no way out, is just bad way to do it.

ADHD life hack

For my fellow medbros with attention span issues (most of us, don’t even lie about it) it’s great for when you’re allergic to sitting down long enough for a traditional Kaplan study session. Highly recommend- though you may want to have another more traditional study plan to supplement :) happy studying!

2nd Uworld

Designed incredibly well, this app allows you to fit in a couple of reps every time you open social media. since it’s only one question, it’s not taxing at all. before you know it, you’ve done at least 30 q a day

FAQ

How does ScrollToll work to help me study?

ScrollToll locks distracting apps behind a single question each time you try to open them. Answering correctly grants you access, while incorrect answers mean the question will reappear later. This method uses distributed recall science to reinforce learning passively throughout your day.

Does ScrollToll have ads?

No, ScrollToll does not contain advertisements. The app is free to download and use, with optional in-app purchases for advanced features and packs.

What kind of questions does ScrollToll use?

ScrollToll offers various question packs including MCAT, USMLE, mental math problems, chess tactics, and vocabulary cards. You can also create custom packs for any topic you wish to learn.

Can I customize which apps ScrollToll blocks?

Yes, you can pick the specific apps that you find most distracting. ScrollToll will then lock these chosen apps behind a knowledge check question, ensuring you earn your access.

How often do I have to answer questions with ScrollToll?

The frequency depends on your mastery of the material. Cards you struggle with will surface more often, while mastered cards appear less frequently. Each unlock session is a study moment, distributed across your day.

What are the subscription options for ScrollToll?

ScrollToll offers several subscription plans, including Weekly Pro Access for $2.49 or $4.99, and Monthly Pro Access for $6.99. There are also Student Monthly ($3.49) and Student Yearly ($24.99) plans, with the yearly option including a 3-day free trial.
