I think that this app is awesome for anyone who has a passion for marine biology. It would be cool to have the app go more in depth on some stuff, but for kids and novices, it is perfect. And great for references when you are on the go.

My kids love this app! They spend 30 minutes at a time swiping through photos, learning more about ocean life in California. With so many species, I can't help but think of how helpful this could be for high school or college students, or even a casual enthusiast or tidepooler!
Take this with you to the Beach
Nice, easy to understand/navigate app for marine critters living along the Central Coast of California. Helpful that there are typically many different pictures of each organism. This should be a good companion for a walk along the beach, an afternoon tide pooling (nondestructively of course), or those fantasizing about diving through kelp forests.
