Works as Intended

Not sure what the deal is with the negative reviews but it works just like the Chrome/Firefox versions. It’s a bit clunky to use on mobile but that’s entirely on iOS.

Improvable

It’d be great that for 8€ that you’re charged for this app you could image search directly from the photo library, not limited to a safari extension

I’ve allowed Permission but first info screen still blocks entrance

First screen directs you to allow this extension in Settings. I have done that. As well as go through all Settings to see if it is somewhere other than where they say. Nope. That initial screen is my entire experience with Search by Image. It will not go away. Have asked for refund. (You have to go into your Account and tap Purchases.) BTW, MacOS version of this app does not work either.

Response from developer

Hi Mark! Browser extensions are installed unsing an app on iOS and macOS, but you usually only interact with the app once after installation. When you turn on the extension for Safari, the extension icon is added to the browser toolbar and the context menu on macOS, and on iOS the extension is listed when you tap the extension icon on the tab bar. You can access most browser extensions from those places. If you need more help, please follow the support link and open an issue on GitHub.

Over an hour...

Deleted with disgust. Over an hour trying to figure out how this app functions. There are no specific instructions or manual anywhere. And his Support page is even more confusing, not to mention requires an account. I'm a smart guy and I know computers. Yet this is just too complicated for me. Another Developer who knows how it works and expects everyone to know what he does.

Hi Mark! Browser extensions are installed unsing an app on iOS and macOS, but you usually only interact with the app once after installation. When you turn on the extension for Safari, the extension icon is added to the browser toolbar and the context menu on macOS. You can access most browser extensions from those places in Safari. You can also share images from other apps to Search by Image to initiate a new reverse image search. If you need more help, please follow the support link and open an issue on GitHub. I would have gladly helped you to get started with browser extensions if only you'd have reached out. You've also submitted multiple negative reviews for the app on the App Store for each platform, and it seems you have purchased the app multiple times for each platform to then request chargebacks, when you could have purchased the app only once, which lets you install the extension on all supported platforms.
