FAQ

What does the Second Phone Number app do?

This app provides you with a virtual second phone number that can be used for making and receiving calls and texts. It allows you to keep your primary number private and separate your personal and business communications. You can also record calls and send unlimited messages.

How do I get a second number?

You can obtain a real US second number directly through the app without needing an additional SIM card. Simply enter your desired area code and generate a new random second phone number. The first number change is free.

Is this app free to use?

The app offers free texting and Wi-Fi calling between friends who also have the app installed. However, to use the second number for general calls and texts, and to access features like call recording, you will need to purchase credits or subscribe to a plan. These are available as various credit packages or weekly/monthly plans.

What are the use cases for this app?

This app is useful for various situations such as signing up for online platforms that require a phone number, buying or selling on e-commerce sites, applying for jobs, online dating, and using ride-sharing services. It helps protect your privacy by not revealing your primary phone number.

Can I use this app on multiple devices?

Yes, the app allows you to have two numbers on one iPhone and one iPad, facilitating communication across your Apple devices.
