The app used to be great. We used it for a couple years before it changed. Now it only lets you do one exchange for free. Anything else and you have to pay. It also advertises it will send via SMS, but that is a paid feature. It also doesn’t allow you to use the same email for multiple people, which is inconvenient when you’re trying to include kids or older folks who don’t have access to/don’t use email. Looking for a better option.

FAQ

What is this app for?

This app is a random name generator designed to facilitate Secret Santa gift exchanges. It helps you organize your gift exchange by creating groups, setting budgets and dates, and drawing names for participants. You can also manage exclusions to ensure certain people aren't paired together.

How does the name drawing work?

You can create a Secret Santa group with unlimited participants, set a budget and date, and add names. The app then randomly draws names. You can choose to send invitations and the draw results via email, text, WhatsApp, or other messaging services, or conduct a live draw directly on the device's screen.

Can participants add wishlists?

Yes, each group member can anonymously add gift suggestions to their personal wishlist. This feature helps ensure that participants receive gifts they will like, as others can draw inspiration from their suggestions.

Does this app require registration?

No, this Secret Santa app requires no registration. Only one device is necessary to organize the draw, and wishlists can be created anonymously. This prioritizes user privacy, as none of the shared data is stored or shared beyond the group participants.

Is there a cost to use this app?

The app is free to download and use, but it does offer in-app purchases and contains ads. Specific features or an ad-free experience may be available through these in-app purchase options.
