Wish this was here when I was a new ostomate!
"I used this app for the first time during my 9th year of having an ileostomy and the main thing on my mind as I went through it was 'where was this when I was getting my surgery!?'. Getting a stoma put in place was such an overwhelming process, especially when it came to gathering the information I needed to be able to manage the appliance when I left the hospital with one for the first time. It would have been tremendously helpful to have all of these resources in one, easy to use location during the early days of learning about living life with a stoma. The added ability to reach out and chat with a Secure Start team member to troubleshoot the right appliance set up and help get me in touch with the suppliers that work with my insurance. I would absolutely recommend using this app for anyone who is about to have, or recently had an ostomy put in place. It will make those first few weeks so much less stressful than they need to be!"

This app is so needed
I wish I had this app when I went through my beginning stages of my ostomy journey 7 years ago. The app has a great amount of information that you need to get to know what the journey is like. It is easy to use and the right number of notifications that go along with the timeline of pre surgery and the first few weeks’ post-surgery. It tells you what to expect in preparation of your surgery from physical to mental, your post-surgical recovery, what to expect at home, along with testimonials and stories from other ostomates, FAQ’s, tons of resources. It also gives you a few tasks to complete to stay on top of your health. You also have access to an advisor that you can email all questions you may have. You can also keep track of diary entries and complete your own personal profile with your care team, supplier, stoma and product information. Again it is easy to use, full of information and very inviting.
