Always improving
I have had this app and my S50 for about 14 months now. This team always are upgrading and improving the app as well as telescope firmware. They never rest! This scope has really got me back into astronomy and doing some astrophotography that I never would have thought was so accessible. Great work, guys!! Love this little telescope!!

Good at then accurately diminished.
Was able to slew directly to the sun, then after a month it was way off and have to manually slew to it.
Having a hard time polar aligning in EQ mode. Otherwise everything is OK

Endlich funktioniert das S50 super, auch in Deutsch. An der Bedienung könnte man vielleicht noch ein wenig arbeiten. Aber sonst SUPER.

I disagree with previous reviews that say this is no longer working with iOS. It does. What I really object to is some cutesy avatar of a squashed marshmallow rabbiting on. I locate an item and I get a high pitched Chinese accent voice destroying my enjoyment. WHAT IN HEAVEN ARE YOU THINKING! I did not agree to this egregious imposition and find it disturbing and insulting. Big fail.

Presque parfait !
Ce logiciel est vraiment impressionnant (bon, en astronomie de pilotage d’un Telescope, je n’en ai pas utilisé d’autres…), mais à côté d’une réelle intelligence de conception, certaines incohérences persistent dans l’enchaînement des options !
d’ou l’utilité d’un VRAI manuel, et en français (!), car beaucoup d’utilisateurs attirés par l’accès (apparemment) facile de la photo-astronomie amateur butent sur l’obstacle de la langue anglaise !
la solution de regarder les blogs (excellents) d’amateurs canadiens n’est qu’une solution approximative.
Ce merveilleux « petit » Telescope mériterait un manuel !

Please improve OSX compatibility
On my M4 macbook air there is a glitch where the framing rotation sliders do not appear at the bottom of the screen. Yes, it’s not guaranteed to work on a macbook, but the Scopetrader review of the Seestar S50 Pro recommends using the app on a laptop rather than ipad or iphone as follows: “On a portable device, some AI operations may use BIN 2 output to reduce memory and processor demand. BIN 2 combines each two by two group of pixels into one output pixel. A 3840 by 2160 image becomes 1920 by 1080. The linear resolution is cut in half and the total pixel count drops to one quarter. On a CMOS sensor, software binning does not produce the same read noise advantage as classic CCD hardware binning, because the pixels have already been read. It can still improve apparent signal to noise through averaging and makes processing much lighter. On a capable Mac, BIN 1 processing preserves the native 4K grid. It also makes it easier to move the result into Photoshop or another editor without passing files through several mobile sharing steps.”

Why does the C*S 50 have such a hard time finding the sun and the moon
I love the program but the only criticism I have is that it has a hard time finding the two largest objects in the sky the sun in the moon And I don’t know if there is a fix for that

You’ll need to give these individuals your blood type and I’m not even going to get started on the ‘WE DEMAND YOU CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO USE THE THING FOR WHICH YOU JUST PAID OVER £700!!! And when you try, the screen keeps resetting so the whole process has to start again - and again - and again - AND AGAIN!!! JFC!!! Make these sharks end!!!!

App crashing frequently
Don’t install / upgrade July version of app. It crashes and fails to locate objects. Ai mode crashes on older version of the iPhone.

Langue française?? Tous les supports sont en anglais comme les détails des planètes et autres.. et surtout pas de mode paysage pour l’i pad!! C’ est vraiment très gênant et gâche mon futur projet d achat chez Seestar je visais le futur 50 pro et du coup je ne suis plus sûr du tout .
An excellent tool for the SeeStar S30 Pro
When I show my non astronomy wife and friends the pictures I get from my telescope, they are always wowed. I am not aware of a better software app for the SeeStar S30 Pro. I’m giving this five stars simply because I wow all my non astronomy friends.
Improving nicely
What would make this app perfect would be an AR overlay in SkyAtlas (similar to SkySafari) to plot obstructions when planning, and a “Time” feature to see where objects will be. It would also be nice to view RTSP streams for Stargazing/Deep Sky. Overall, the app has made a lot of improvements since I first started using it.

Update 3.3.0 goodness
I have been wanting a Seestar S50 since before they officially launched. I finally pulled the trigger on the S30 Pro last week. Having the better sensor made it an easy choice. My first experience with the app and device was OK, but I was getting disconnects nonstop despite being 3-5ft away. This new update seemed to fix the issues I was having. I also found that switching the WiFi on the S30 pro from 5GHz to 2.4GHz helped with disconnects as well. I cannot wait for the next clear evening to use this thing.

I’ve just downloaded the new version. Using star reduction has changed the game for me. What a beast. And that’s with the s50. I can only imagine what a higher native resolution will be able to produce. Well done ZWO
Kometenfotografie
Leider ein großer Schwachpunkt des S50, es führt nicht auf den Kometen nach, sondern auf Sterne. Der Komet wird zum Strich durch seine Eigenbewegung. Also dafür leider nicht verwendbar. Man sollte Seestar darauf hinweisen. Ich weis, es ist kompliziert, aber es lohnt sich! Liebe Grüße an das Team
