Outstanding resource!!
This app amazes me the more I use it. I’m a “gentile Christian” or follower of Yeshua but I use this since the texts and rabbis and sages are incredibly important and valuable—and this app has everything. Even with my background and going in blind, it has great resources included that help you understand how to read and learn from the texts as well as give amazing biographies on who has written. It’s incredibly organized, easily searchable, and I feel like again; I find something new or different about it whether the ability to make changes in fonts and written language between English, Hebrew, or both together—it’s great, and then easy verse by verse parallels to various texts and authors when to tap to select the verse. Incredible app, incredible resource, and I can’t believed it’s offered for free! Amazing work Sefaria, thank you!

Used to have access to dictionaries and the like while in offline mode. Now I do not, in spite of having them all downloaded. Otherwise, great app!
Indispensable
Sefaria is extraordinary. A very effective and easy to use library of so many Jewish texts that I find fascinating and often inspiring. It’s free to use but I have often donated to the site because what it is providing is just so good and helpful to my study.
Best option for finding specific texts
I love this app more than any other app that’s like it - nearly everything you need just a search away. I do however have one request, and that is a dark mode for night time/dim lighting reading because otherwise the app can be unwieldy to read even with the screen dimmed.

Has gotten buggy
Lately every time I try and open the app it gives me an error message. Used to be a useful resource, now, not so much…

rashi on proverbs 8 crashes the phone. it says the internet connection is bad and that you need to restart the app and delete it and redownload

Ive been lost for a long time. Long. My best friend finally got to me and told me to start reading. It has been the best life change I have ever had. Talked with many rabbi with many changes to my life. This has been a great way to read and study at work. Sh’me Israel.
I can't find my source sheets or anything anymore
I've been using the app for years, and now it's telling me to find Voices to find the source sheets, but there's no voices in the app so now what

This app is amazing. No words other than a true treasure. And I never write reviews.
Great app but glitchy
I’ve honestly never had an issue with this app until recently. I deleted the app awhile back and wanted to redownload it. However when I try to download the offline library it gets stuck on “connecting”. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall the app as well as shutting off my device and turning it back on, nothing helps. I have an iPhone 17, I’m not sure what’s going on with this app but my review will remain a one star until that is fixed.

Colored Highlighters Please
I enjoy using this app but I wish there was an option to highlight verses and passages with different colored highlighters. I see other Bible apps with this option, it would be great if highlighters were a feature on this app too.

Une application tout simplement indispensable pour tout type d’étude. Tout y est : Tanakh, Guemara, Mefarchim, Halakha, Tefila etc. Le tout parfaitement organisé.
Le plus pratique, c’est qu’en sélectionnant un passage, on accède aussitôt à tous les commentaires et textes qui s’y rattachent — très pratique pour étudier en profondeur.
Simple, fluide et sans publicité : un vrai plaisir à utiliser au quotidien.
